I myself stopped using weed in early January at my therapist's recommendation. I only used it every few weeks after last October and would mark down the days on my calendar so I'd be able to keep track of how long it'd be until I could next get high by my own rules. I quit altogether to fully commit myself to strict sobriety and mindfulness and have been meditating again in that time. Like you, I was struggling to kick the habit of getting high at first more than the desire to be high, if you know what I mean; I'd grown too accustomed to getting high before my favorite activities, like writing and playing music or watching movies or reading or walking through nature. The good thing is that staying sober gets easier the longer I do it and even the occasions where I feel a strong urge to get high don't last very long. At most, they last a little over an hour. These urges usually come up during deja vu to the types of scenarios where I'd get high, like cozy days in the winter where I stay indoors. I've easily persisted every time by reminding myself that I don't want to give up my sobriety streak just to be high for a few hours ("If I give up now, then in a few hours I won't be high but a day from now, I'll still be someone who gave up").

A little tip: Don't focus on the possibility of getting high at all when you can help it. Don't think about if or when you might get high next and don't even entertain the idea of getting high. When the thought comes up, just ignore it or at least don't take it seriously and do something else. You got this!
