Cakes can contaminate when?

Afoaf is going thru her first ever flush :thumbup:  She's noticed that
there is some bluing fuzzy mycelieum near where she's picked.
She assumes this is probably brusing. What she's wondering is
if a 100% colonized cake can grow contams while flushing or
after a dunk? They are in a small PMP at 73 degrees and 99%

It sounds like it's just the bluing of the mycelliem, and it's perfectly normal.
You can tell if it's mold, it usually looks as if though it's growing off the substrate, not just coloring it, and it will stink.

It is also still possible to get contams from a fully colozized cake, but it's most likely to happen before colonization, or after subsequent flushes from the said cake.
