Any Teach English Abroad People Here? (Thailand)

Sooo I am looking at programs. Would love Central/South America but it's hard to get in. Asia looks great and specifically I have decided on THAILAND! I have a bachelors but no TESOl. I have limited teaching experience. I don't have a lot of money because San Francisco.
What are some tips and experience? How much should I be paying to join a placement program with TESOL fees? So far my #1 is this program (the flexible preferred).
You guys done cool stuff like that? Loved it? Hated it? I'm the nature loving friendly kind of person. I've already popped my living abroad cherry so I'm not scared. I'd prefer warm beautiful thailand to uptight asian countries

If you go to Thailand, try to find and give Kratom a try if you are into that thing. It would be interesting to know if it's any better when at and directly from the source super fresh. Probably no different from over here haha.

Seems like all you need is a bachelors. In some cases they'll hire you without one but usually a bachelors is required. The pay on average seems to be pretty good living in the country but just okay compared to US salarys.

There's an agency called "foot prints". They have programs all over the place...they will line you up with a school and set up your salary requirements.
Personally I just went to a country (s Korea) went to a foreigner bar...and made contacts that way.
It wasn't as easy as the agency though...as they usually also help situate housing and often the school pays for your return flight once you've completed your contract.
Hope this helped. M69

Also...teaching in Thailand doesn't pay well as to where Korea, Japan and Taiwan pay great.
That being said...I've travelled in Thailand and stayed for sometime.
If you can earn a living wage there do it. The land of smiles is amazing.
I recommend the northern areas. Chiang mai would probably be a good area (if you go there and dig Buddhist temples hit Doi Suthep)....also there was a legit village north called pai. Those are 2 of my favourite places in the world.
Good luck.

If you do a basic TEFL course online then that helps. You can teach anywhere. Spain has demand. Korea, China.
Thailand is in Asia by the way..
I'm going to be teaching in Palestine later this year but its unpaid, for a charity, with expenses sorted.

thanks, I'm really looking forward to it! I'm going to be living in a refugee camp in the West Bank but will have lots of opportunity to visit all around
btw I didnt need to do any TEFL course for that. Luckily, my mum is a teacher so she has given me tips on teaching/lesson planning.

lol sorry about the title and yes thailand is in asia. is my, grammar and .punctuation make your brain hurt?
Update!
My sister's friend is currently teaching English in Taiwan and has been for some time now. She raved about it and has won me over. Now I am torn between Thailand and Taiwan! Fortunately they are super close so I won't worry too much about airfare.
Thank you for the tips on great places in Thailand and in general.
Oh, coolest part: she contacted schools herself and found a job before she even flew over. It was only about 10% of what I would pay through this program. So good thing I didn't sign up yet! Looks like I could get over there for less than $1000, though I might take an online TEFL course just for shits(quite the contrary I actually care about doing a good job).
Oh, and apparently "white guy fever" is a thing

The thing is that you don't entirely understand proper grammar and you're going to be teaching English unless this is a joke.

This is an informal platform, so why are you scrutinizing me? Perhaps you're the one making the joke by joining two complete sentences without placing a comma before the conjunction. Crafty... Please don't derail the thread

A lot of what they look for is conversation English.
They aren't all that worried about all of the "details".
The more "western" you look the better...that's for sure.
