Just got out of a Dean Press Conference...

About an hour ago they came over the loudspeaker at school saying that Gov. Dean would be holding a conference a few buildings over, so I headed over there to listen...Just a few notes from there...

First off, it was nearly dead. They had to go room to room to fill up a pretty small auditorium. It was apparently for the endorsement of our local teachers union. Dean didnt really SAY alot, as I guess is expected. I guess the main thing he introduced was the fact that John Kerry, whom he slipped and referred to as President Kerry, was funding a PAC to run negative ads against him. Big deal....

Dean said he wasnt sure anymore Kerry could beat Bush. This from a guy who didnt get quite 3X as many votes as Al Sharpton yesterday...After Dean left, a couple of members of the national press were saying this was a new "Scorched Earth" policy. I talked toa few of them and they said that it seemed if Dean couldnt have the nomination, he was going to make sure it was no big prize to win. Doesnt make much sense to me....

On a side note, Dean's campaign manager, or press handler, or whatever, is fucking RUDE. He pretty much told us all to keep our mouths shut if we werent members of the press. And he didnt do it in a very nice way....Asshole....if you have ?'s, ask...I took notes....
