And the release is upon us! Would be cool if they made Columbia have future techs like cartel leaders and cocaine as a commodity. But alas Civ has become Disneyfied. Still play it and will buy it, but is like school and the University. History is all whitewashed.
Here goes half my day. Made me laugh for those who are still working. One wrote on Steam, "And I made the mistake of getting on Civ..". Time flies and I get why they put a digital clock on it now. That made me laugh. Time to explore the new DLC.

Yeah, was also really hoping cocaine would be added as a resource upon seeing they added stuff like Maize and Honey resources suppose there will at least be mods for that
the bonuses for Gran Colombia really are crazy powerful tho; conquered Spain and Hungary in the early game and already turning eyes towards Sweden

That they did, it is addictive. As far as the Frontier Pass. Mixed reviews so waiting a bit on it. Lot of bugs. Read the Steam reviews.

the Epic Games move was a good one -- realistically the money the company makes off the game at this point is from the add-ons and stuff so give the base for free and let people buy the upgrades, makes even more sense in timing with the second season pass
My Gran Colombia game has not progressed further than my last post been distracted by other things but have encountered at least one bug, tho only graphical in nature after shutting down the game after my first run, my Haciendas no longer link their fences with the fences of the plantations like they are supposed to but they still give the gameplay bonuses, so more a nuisance than anything really troubling
am guessing the planned schedule is going to be content one month, bug fixes the next month, content, bug fixes, and so forth
tho will say, am glad that the New Frontier Pass is just a regular season pass had been worried that it was going to be the only way to get the new content, but Maya and Gran Colombia are available as an individual content pack so it seems to be just the personalities for Teddy and Catherine are the actual pass-exclusive things
'course, Mom also got me the pass along with my birthday books, so going to be having all of it anyway

Japan loves me every game prolly due to always chasing a religion at the start and typically having more faith and culture income than the size of my puny military handful of highly advanced units works better to deter AI invasion since they calculate viability of attack off of military point scores and often they will have a bunch of low level units running around in their empire taking up space and not contributing much score
Japan is pretty awesome to play as, as well because the bonuses to districts and district building speed help getting set up quick
really enjoy the new Meteor Shower disaster but feel like it might be tuned for a bit too frequent rate of occurrence in normal games tough call, as it balances well enough by making stepping on the hex they landed on grant a free military unit

"a sweet scent filled the air"

Also, the new Bermuda Triangle Natural Wonder is kind of fun to find in game sailing into it randomly teleports the unit across the map and gives +1 move speed

Wow. They just released Ethiopia. Never used to thinking of that country as a world power. Always had the image of starving black children with commercials asking for money.
Would be amusing if Ethiopia over time was a world power. History when objective one can learn a lot about life now.
Could put a lot of quotes in but don't feel like it. Civ has enough of them.
