no, they patched it out of the traits list for the first patch after rise and fall guessing it caused 'controversy' or something -- only ever saw the patch notes where they mentioned the personality traits had been removed to my comprehension there was a matching trait for attraction to the opposite sex and discrimination against same sex leaders it may have been associated with Cleopatra in order to make her more lusty towards the male AI?
if they had not made a point of going back and removing the personality agendas (and thus breaking my archived saves from that playthrough) may no have even adopted the tendency for myself

Sweden joins with a female leader
looks to be nicely well-rounded with a leaning into culture personally enjoy them having a mid-game anti-cavalry unit auto-themeing on museums would take away from my great works and artifacts micromanaging tho

Not paying 70 U.S. for Res Evil 2 remastered, whatever, so I wait till February. Unlike the idiotic dlcs except for one major one I will buy this. Seriously is the main reason I bought this laptop so I could play Civ. Since the second one came out. Spent over a hundred and am happy for some more that isn't shit but adds to the gameplay.
I love this game yet I do my research.

Suleiman of the Ottoman Empire makes a return
as a non-gameplay aside, his character and animations make him look less jerkish than Civ 5 did but with the bonuses and unique unit tied to conquering and holding cities, he may mechanically be a jerk AI anyway
am fond of their unique naval unit; like to pillage the shit out of my enemy's coastlines

Dido returns in charge of Phoenicia
think that having her assigned to this rather than Carthage likely ties to the city-state existing in game but some neat bonuses, being able to move the capital around to play with loyalty particularly interests me

Just bought it. Going on a Winter vacation for a week, and when I get back, all ready to play. For some reason I always play Roosevelt, I guess because I talk and have socialized with so many people over the world.
Is amusing to me that, I am an American! People rip on it and others like it, the culture. But to extend it to a computer game, is inane yet I have over 700 hours on Steam and I have never played another leader and country. Not that I am some nationalist Trump idiot. I just feel like it is being myself. But it is just a game. Blah.
When I get back over the next two months will be over 1000 hours. That is strategy, that is like chess to me the Civ games over time and started with Civ 2 and everyone since.
Reminds me of the movie where Leonardo goes overseas and the scene of where people travel and do the same things they do at home. All these people traveling and when they arrive, they sit and watch t.v. The character sees how dumb that is. Why pay so much money to travel and just play games and such? He does have one thing right. When traveling, drink a lot. Makes the flight and inconviences and boredom with time fly by.

Have not actually done a run as Teddy yet his bonuses are all-around solid for my playstyle but have not ticked him off on my list yet he's been a good ally in a few games tho working through everyone, but typically tending to do multi-plays as Scythia and Indonesia
have been watching a bit of a Canada let's play since Firaxis sent out an early build of the expansion to a bunch of youtubers
used to travel back and forth across Canada in University, did not drink in the airports, even when getting stormed into Toronto for Christmas one year, but did have a laptop for all my notes and assignments for class and spent hours in terminals and on planes playing civ 4

Lol. Canada. The world imperialists. But I get what you are saying. Every time I think of Canada I think of South Park. So polite. Fuck you buddy! Fucky you pal! I'm not your pal, buddy. I'm not your friend pal.
Trying to get how cities expand on their own for the DLC. Time will tell. So fuck you buddy, no fuck you pal. Take over the world as Canada. Just a joke, sense of good will. I like the Canadians yet in real life they are servants to the U.S military industrial complex.
I mean what is their bonus? Friendliness, unlocked doors, trusting your neighbor and society? Ripe for the pillaging and rape. Like pirates and the vikings there always has to be rape with the pillaging. Or world war 2 in our, civilized society. Kind of glad they didn't include that option in it actually.
Famine, genocide, assinations, and every dark thing in the world we live in today. Just take over a city. History of mankind is really fucked up for the most of it. Look forward to this DLC. A present waiting for me on my return.

Canada's Friendliness bonus extends to auto-locked doors Canada is the only Civilization in the game that cannot have surprise wars declared on them this is particularly beneficial when facing Persia, as their bonuses make them more powerful for the first 10 turns after declaring a surprise war so simply by being friendly, Canada cripples the main weapon of one of the most powerful Domination civs in the game
Similar to the US, Canada's later game bonuses are geared towards tourism -- set up a bunch of Hockey Rinks and get people visiting for the greatest sport in the world

the other bonus is in a generation of Diplomatic Favour, which acts as a new separate trade 'currency' and tool for influencing the world congress so Canada plays all nice to stockpile friendliness points, then uses those to convince other civilizations to fight wars on our behalf :notbad:
generally speaking, my preference is for Civs that have earlier game bonuses tho one of the things that makes Civ 6 fun is the different cultural landscapes that take shape as unique improvements/districts get spammed Canada benefits from being able to put hockey rinks on Tundra, but Russia gets a unique Religious district and benefits from Tundra squares
so likely going to go back to playing as other civs and naming my main city Canadaville after my Canada playthrough
Do hope there is a unique achievement for winning a Domination game as Canada simply called "Sorry" but we will see if Firaxis decided to be fun again or not

Never had a complaint about that developer. EA and Bethesda and Ubisoft, yeah.
Have over 700 hours on that game but always open to learning. Not meaning to put Canadians down, Seth Rogen is amazing. Just live and let live is what I get from the culture.
In Civ world, would be interesting to see if one could win playing Canada. I love learning about different cultures and you seem deeply invested in Canada. No judgement, just reading and learning.
Putting off playing it till my vacation ends and it comes out. Like I wrote before bought it and will be a present to me upon returning.
By the way I love your avatar. That moment when the water bong hits oneself and one is quickly transported to a different consciousness in life. I can't play games when fucked up. Always have to turn to that of least effort. And my attention span is limited, lol.

no worries, mostly it is just me not knowing anything else
have been down to Arizona, and used to do a number of shopping trips into North Dakota due to growing up on the Canada/US border but aside from that, am 30 years old and all my travelling has been within my home country if having been born in Europe, would likely have seen all sorts of different societies and cultures, just going by physical distance covered over time from bumming around
instead have to draw inspiration from the similarities and variations across the Canadian provinces would love to be more worldly and informed on other cultures and visit other countries, but not really in financial position to do so

Thanks
personally try to smoke frequently enough to not really get transported have a hard time dealing with being really high, but just kind of casually stoned all the time works wonders and gets me more mobile for chores and the like (have been on medical for years for pain treatment) Civ has just the right pacing to smoke once or twice while planning out my moves for a turn

This week's leader announcement is a bit different
Eleanor of Aquitaine as a leader is an option available for both France and England
France's current leader (Catherine) is a bit lackluster for me due to specializing in espionage but Eleanor has city-flipping bonuses that make her play more like Culture victories in Civ 4 my favourite way to play Civ 4 was to make big booming cultural cities and flip my neighbouring civs to my side through cultural pressure was discouraged when Civ 5 took that out, even if the expansions eventually readded it as a late-game feature this is the closest approximation available in Civ 6 tho -- so may be looking at my new main leader
take over the world by being pretty and classy

Yeah, I get it. It is strategy. One can do it on games like Civ. One plays shooters or such or certain horror games and when one looks up for a second one is dead. They have their place for gamers but it is like, what the fuck just happened?
So Going to wait to play again. God, I have epic binges on this game but going to wait and enjoy my vacation. There is a reason they now put a clock in the upper part of the game of real time. Because because 20 minutes goes by in an hour. When at work it is the other way around, why my brother said he doesn't play games so much because of how much he works and it is get home and play, flys past, and back to drudgery. It is actually around 850 hours looking at it. I don't know if it is a good bad thing or a good thing for it to take account of ones time on a game. So many want to say, it is wasting your time/life. Blah, fuck them.
When I get back I can put in a good 40 hour type work week on it, lol while my body recupperiacts from a week excuse to go to warm weather in a liberal city. Not going to go there and play games. Each their own, just having that antsy feeling before a trip.
Enjoy it! If you do buy the new DLC, give me some hints if you choose. I already bought it so I don't blow it at bars or with drugs. Life is good.

Fuck it, it is like a drug, going to play it. To a larger point I like strategy over fast pace shooters. Each have their place yet sometimes, as a perfectionist to a fault, I like a brake in the action and think things out before making a move. Thing is, I play for 4-5 hours at a time.
I have a PS4 and computer gaming laptop. Strange the difference yet I will buy Res 2 as well. I guess it is why I come on the shroomery. When you are on different drugs and/or alcohol consistently it goes into everything in life. Games are just a metaphor to life, what the fuck am I even trying to say. Drugs fit the game, like life.

Am in the midst of a second Civ 6 game as China now my first game with the expansion as Canada ended pretty early with a 1500s Religious victory this one is pushing into the late game, and am working on the new final step for the Space victory
the systems are more robust and interesting than my previous credit given to them climate change is only starting to set in in the 1700s-1800s but have some complaints regarding the AI maybe being too cautious on climate change before even having factories and power plants, the game was crediting me as creating all the CO2 due to being the only civ chopping trees which suggests to me that AI (even tho one of them is tagged with Exploitative) is hesitant to chop trees and rainforest which slows down their gameplay in the process
the new improvements and disasters are neat but some of the wonders are a little questionable in their building my empire currently has a long narrow inner sea in the middle of it but since it is not enough hexes wide near my cities, it is not possible to build Golden Gate Bridge and there are no smaller bridge districts like there are with canals but then in contrast, the game let me build the Panama canal in the middle of nowhere, connecting a land-locked city to the inner sea
unit management was a bit of an initial headache; went over my Oil cap spamming tanks like previously then had to delete a bunch to get back into my oil per turn limit so it mitigates some of the endless spam of units (like my love of Scythia and endless double helicopters) and means standing armies have to have more generic units tho it is mildly frustrating mechanized Infantry obsoletes regular infantry, meaning only AT crews can serve as mass troops in late game
still working on building the giant death robot, may not manage to get it popped out before my Space Victory unless someone's spies do a good job sabotaging my space district
also, as a frustrating aside China unlocks canals as early as Masonry tech but due to playing on a huge map, none of my bodies of water could be connected with canals for the whole game anyway

Just got back from vacation and downloaded the Gathering Storm. I preordered it as something to look forward to come back home to and play, and seriously, not to party it away. When I have money, I spend it.
It looks like they put some effort into which they should for 40 U.S. I like how they have global warming and environmental aspects to it. As well as war and such.
The new leaders, I know history but seriously, I haven't heard of any of them so my scope of time and place is limited.
On to the game. Will probably be up all night playing it and I hope it is as good as it has started. Haven't read the reviews on it but looks good. Strange not using the internet for a week and seeing all the e-mail and boards after 7 days. I feel so energized. Enjoy the game Shroomery! Still sticking with Teddy.

Teddy did not get changed, so he is still an all-around solid choice am a little discouraged by England's change -- but mostly just wanted the OP bonus to culture districts to play as Eleanor and flip cities but likely to stick with running her on the France civ
my China game wrapped up -- Space victory has been changed so that after launching the last piece there is a 50ish(reducible) turn period before victory actually kicks in similar to the launching and waiting of previous titles
playing around with mountain tunnels in late game as China convinced me to give Inca a test run with their earlier tunnels so making a mountain empire now
