ok im just gonna be brief to keep from writing so much
ok i have 3 fully colonized cakes ,spawned 3 cakes with compost/dung and then cased with another layer with compost/dung,and a mycobag. all are the huautla strain. i cold shocked the one in the mycobag and the rest it didnt. everything has been in the fruiting chamber for about 9 days now and still no signs of pins or anything. i ve had the temp at 74 now for about 3 days , it was 80. i fan it 3 times a day too and humidity is good, with the light on 12 hours off 12. so what im wondering is the huautla strain slow or what did i do wrong.

Pins can take two weeks to form, so don't worry too much yet.

I think we need a better description of what you did because "then cased with another layer with compost/dung,and a mycobag" doesn't really make much sense.

i was just saying that i had 3 cakes . mixed another 3 with compost/dung and then cased with another layer of compost/dung and i also have a mycobag . all are the huautla strain. i just thought something was wrong since i havent seen pins out of anything yet.

did you let the casing colinize first and 80 degrees is a little high you want around 75

yeah i let it colinize first in a incabator, then i put another layer bout 1/4in and put it in a fruiting chambor, now its colonized about 80 percent.i had the temp at 74 degrees for 3 days now. the cakes arent showing anything either except one has like a knot on the side of it. and the substrate i took out of the mycobag it just looks like its growing , it just looks like little strans of mycelium. i ll try to get some pics later .

Just a general question/statement...You dont need to have it in direct light eve close to that long right? Shrooms prefer the dark from what I know...anywys.gl man.

ok , its been 13 to 14 days now and still no pins. does anyone with experience know why , what causes this.
