ohhh, haha..i have had that happen to me where im at the reply screen, the "reply to" drop down list sometimes gets scrolled by accident, making me post to the wrong thread, =p happened to me more than once. i thought that was what happened to you, my bad =p
because i use the quick reply thing under the thread to post also, but i always forget to hit the "preview post" thng, so when it is at the preview screen, sometimes i have made a spelling correction or something, and somehow i hit the reply to drop down and it selects a random thread, by accident.

Hey dude! Not a bad first thread post. Thats some really beautiful growth going on there, I love how when you use MS to inoculate it creates beautiful radial growth from a single point or 2.
I hate how long it takes though. 12 days to get there is rough. Shake that thing. Shake that thing like your life depended on it; it's time to speed things up and turn those 2 noc points into 200.

Well, I am waiting for 30% growth to do the shaking. From what I've read recently, seems a lot of people suggest 30%-50% growth before shaking. If people want to chime in on that here, I am open to suggestions.
And yes, the wait times for MS is real torture. I had my schedule set to have fruits available by beginning of June, but that is not looking likely; which is a shame because I have an event to go to that these would have been perfect for. I guess I'll stick to some MDMA for that night; no Hippie-Flipping for me

Yeah I mean, I just chimed in. I understand what you've read but sometimes it's not always so black and white, especially if you have a deadline for fruits when inoculating grains from MS.
Like I said, your growth looks healthy. The main reason people wait for 30% besides just being an ideal time to shake, is to make sure the growth looks healthy. Your 20ish% look fine, and if you are trying to speed things up, shake those thing now. Just a suggestion, after that shake I'd say another week til 90%, then one last shake and you'll be fruiting in 10 days. Idk if you need them by june 1st or 6th, but this will give you a chance of at least having pins by june.

Why do you so openly hate cats dude? Like whatever, you don't like cats, why make more than 1 joke about killing them in...a year? Idk, I don't typically joke about killing things, even if I hate the fuck out of them different strokes I guess.

20%-ish though?? That growth is only on one side of the jar, and it's the best out of the 8 jars I have. I was putting that at 5-7% max. I don't *NEED* them by beginning of June, it just would have been nice. I'll probably shake a few days earlier than anticipated. I still don't see myself casing the grains before the 25th. And if I spawn to bulk, well, beginning of June is just not realistic.
It's all good, as long as my grow doesn't go south like the last few, I'll be happy. And once I get momentum going with agar etc, I'll be set

Ooh, this is where I get to talk about bioremediation and mushrooms ability to reuptake toxins from the soil. But I've said it a lot already so I'll just leave it at that, mushrooms are extremely good at uptaking a variety of chemicals and other things from the substrate they are growing on (see Paul Stamets experiments with the oil contaminated earth), I would not at all be surprised if the oysters were able to uptake the psilocin from the mycelium, possibly proving that mycelium can in fact produce active alkaloids? Dehydrate those oysters and munch them like cubes lol, if you cook them you'll likely destroy the actives.

I feel ya man, it was hard to gauge I guess cause of the nature of the close up. That's the bitch with MS though, I had the same problem with my grow. It took 65 days from inoculation to harvest. But maybe if you want... you have 8 jars I don't know what your plans are with them, but if 1 finishes early, you can make a 6 qt dub tub (in my sig) with 1 qt, or if 2 finish early you can make a 20 qt mini. Looks good though, just keep doing what you're doing.

So because you've said the same thing about other animals, that makes it better or...? Where you going with that?
My little Bridgesii baby. It's started to lose it's turgidity and flop around a little bit, I repotted it in a different mix and hoping that it will get better, Bridges are my favorite of the Trichs and this is my biggest one, as miniscule as it may be. I accidentally let it get rained on though yesterday so probably not a good thing.
