What "free lunch" are you referring to?  Can you be specific?  Do you mean you think Government shouldn't pay for schools, roads, defense, etc?

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

No, I absolutely agree that our government should absolutely pay for all those things.

I just can't get over it. It's like they think they shouldn't have to pay for anything ever, because the constitution.

I wonder what talking head is using that line so often that so many people are constantly repeating it?

Basically, my making this thread was just a poor attempt at mocking these people.

I swear, this election season, I have heard at least 20 people say "there is no such thing as a free lunch" in response to about equally as many situations. So silly...

I still vote, but the fact is the delegates and what not, in the end, they don't legally have to drop a vote for their affiliated parties.... and if someone can be bought for moneyou as is so common with political corruption, what good does any ones votes really do when there is no system of justice, and the delegates are free to walk around and vote for whoever they want to?

Aside from that I still vote, but regardless of who I vote for, I trust no one that I vote for.
