his is a tiny tin I made outa a half pint fully colonized cake. Coir and coarse Verm tad pinch of gypsum. Does it look correct any masters want to guide me or give me pointers.. I didn't layer the tin with a contractor bag. Or poked holes anywhere. I just made two tins and placed them in my incubator should they stay there for a few days then I put it in the D.C.?? Masters my ears at open!!!!!

I'm not a "master" at all but I think I can help ya

-Use fine grade verm next time. Actually, you only need fine grade werm for mycology. If you can't find it, give the coarse verm a good beating with a hammer, but be careful not to pulverize it.
-You should poke some holes on that film. I'd take out the one you got right now and put a new one, making sure is nice and tight. You can use a fork to poke holes.
-Don't use incubators. You don't need them unless your house is an igloo. Your tray is going to be ok at room temp (65-75) and light has proven to be benefitial in all stages of growth, so keep it in a room with indirect sunlight.
-Once you see that your tray is fully colonized, you should put it in fruiting conditions and case if you want. You can use a shotgun fruiting chamber to fruit that tray.

Thanks man ima cover it with tin foil and put holes in it. From what I understand I dont need to put holes in the side of the tin foil case. When it full colonizes how do I start pinning, any tips? Do I need to mist the stuff in the tin foil (during the FC stage)

You can cover it with foil but the problem is that you'd need to check once in a while to see how the myc is progressing. IMO, the plastic film would do the same job but at least it allows you to see through.

The major pinning triggers are full colonization (obviously) and FAE (fresh air exchange). It's always good to case your projects. You could just use plain verm straight from the bag and pour it evenly on the surface and then give it a good soak with a sprayer filled with water.

Once in the FC the only thing you can do to promote pinning is mist the surface of the tray and let that water evaporate before you mist again (you should never allow the casing to dry out completely, though, just mist when most of the water from the previous misting has evaporated). This evaporation of water is also a pinning trigger along with exposure to bright light (12/12 cycle) but never direct sunlight.

Research "shotgun fruiting chamber" because it's going to be the easiest and most effective way to fruit that tray.
