Dunk for 24 hours and roll in verm. Place in a SHFC on tin foil. Fan and most a few times each day with a 12 hour on/ off light schedule. Don't try anything fancy, don't reinvent the wheel. If you do not do all these things then you can expect less than ideal results. Pinning can sometimes take 2 weeks or more. Be patient

Bless. Boom. Bsfurr

:notsureif: I haven't fanned anything since 2013.. Absolutely unnecessary if you have a good passive chamber like a PROPER SGFC.. If you can maintain a co2 ppm of under 1000, fanning is redundant. Also you mist when dry. Not a schedule of such and such a day. His cakes are dry now, which means he needs to mist directly right now. Not in 3 hours when his schedule is up.

@OP.. Dude what are they sitting on? It looks like gravel lol.. Right off the bat your chamber isn't a PROPER SGFC. What tek did you follow? Take pics of the chamber. Also your cakes are pretty damn dry.. Directly mist them until GLISTENING.

Also cakes aren't made at field capacity, and they've been sitting in jars losing moisture for a month. Mushrooms are 90% water. They most definitely need the dunk. MUCH MUCH more than any other substrate. 30 minutes wasn't long enough. 24 hours is.

thanks guys, assuming i'll just redunk overnight. Switch to perlite instead of the hydro rocks. Will humidifier in the room reduce the amount of misting I need to do. I'm going to remove the air tube that was sending air under the rocks. I think thats drying out the cakes to fast. I'll just put a few holes in the middle of the perlite layer... Thanks guys i appreciate your help!!! i'm sorry i tried to be fancy! i'll stick to normal ways!

Don't try to reduce the amount of misting you need to do.  Misting is the only thing you DO need to do, so don't cut corners on that too..  A humidifier will slightly increase the time it takes for water to evaporate, at the cost of slightly increasing the time it takes for water to evaporate, which is not necessarily what you want when you're trying to get something to pin.

And yes, air tube is probably the issue.  A humidifier is a "solution" to a problem that wasn't necessary to have.
