resterilizing contaminated agar

I have some contaminated agar no pours. I know one has trich. The others appear to be bacterial. I pced them for 45 min at 15psi. How long would these plates stay clean for? I can hear everyone screaming at me now. I'm not planning on using them don't worry. But I was wondering how long until the infections and trich start to grow. I kind of wanted to keep the jars around until I saw growth again. Anyone else ever take the time?

OK then I'll clean them out. I resterilize everything contaminated anyway so I can empty stuff clean and not spread it. I think I read that from RR.

Were you hoping to drop some spores on that dead trich and watch myc eat it up weren't you? but agar is so cheap and that sounds kind of nasty.
An esopecially bad idea t a purist and but yeah kind of a bad idea in general BUT for pure science and prove to yourself it works I am pretty sure it would.
How long would they stay clean.
Well Presumably you would have killed everything in there and nothing would have take place as long as the plates dont get exposed to new nasty they would stay clean. Probally a little Ploppie Ploopy after pcing the contams.
I'm not planning on using them don't worry. If they are glass plates I understnad. But plastic. is sooooooooo cheap. In the usa adleast.
The moral of the stroy. Plenty of places in the world have to re use and wash condoms. If you live in a land of bounty and don't have to re wash condoms I say in spite of all the waste RE USE THE PLATES,
If you live in the 3rd world and have no choice DO it!
Either way. No serious myco people will take you seriously if you do it. Despite that it would probably work. Maybe do it but dont bragg about it.. That shit is nastey

I have no intention of reusing the plates for spores unless I make more agar and resterilize the jars first. I was just curious if PC would kill the trich or not. I know the bacteria is dead but I thought trich might be able to survive. I'm curious is all. I have over an ounce of agar to make more so if I decided to dump them I could make new ones. Would the trich ever recover? The mold itself was big enough to float on top the liquid agar. About dime size. The spores themselves never got wet. Is it possible that the trich would eventually recolonize? Cuz if not I'll toss it but if so I'd like to see how long it would take. Again I do not plan to inoculate the plates.

Trich dies at pasteurization temps 140-160f way before bacterial spores or heat resistant bacteria.
