Hunting tips for forest tronping, new to the hint spokane wa
    #23076239 - 04/02/16 05:01 PM (7 years, 11 months ago)

It's getting to the point in he season where plants are blooming grass is ever flourishing, and the rains come. I lived in Spokane wa and am going mushroom hunting within the next two weeks in loo of a trusted identification expert to join me, I've done extensive research on active, edible and deadly mushrooms in this region. My question is is a forest/ hiking trails a good place to look with all the dead plant matter and wood soaking in rain water at 70 - 90 degrees would I find mushrooms out here? I see very little explanation for the east cascades even though I know many to claim they found cyans in New undeveloped neibhorhoods near late Dec last year. Possible or are they full of shit? Also good spots around for pans?

Well it depends on what your looking for if your doing edible then ya woods off the trail a bit just look around but if your active hunting you need to rifine a bit more . As far as cyanescens  go if someone  brought them or large amounts of mulch were  brought in its completely  posible as far as I know

Ok this threads now 5 months old. I've found a variety of panaeolus sp. Olivicia, cincultus of course foencelli and campanulatas. I also confirmed several edible of the coprinus/ coprinopsis coprinopsis sp. Coprinopsis nivea, coprinus comatus, coprinopsis friesii  and coprinopsis atramentaria. As well as the prince bolete, and boletus rubella but sadly no ps. Cyanescens. Though I did find a few agaricus bisporus as big as my hand (8" on the cap. Fucking huge.)
