So I did a BRF formula of 2-1-1 and it came out somewhat sticky and I think it was the type of verm. Anyway afer pressure cooking more water got into the jars even with foil tight ):. The jars are pretty wet but at the time I said fuck it and noc'd them with 20cc of B+ in 12 jars (wasteful I know). They have been incubating for about 2 weeks now and I'm not sure what is what.
Can you identify from below anything about these photos? please address them by number when you tell me something wrong with them. I wish to learn what to look for in these contaminates. Many of the brown colors I believe are just the BRF being pushed up and whatever is growing i think is pushing water against the side of the jars.

1 colonized and needs consolidation, dunk and roll, and then fruiting 2 ^ 3 ^ 4 bacterial and wet. I'd toss it. 5 last pic lots of discoloration, could be bacteria or a mold. Definitely be wary. 6 first pic ^ 7 needs more colonization, first pic has some bacteria, so be wary. 8 refer to 4 9 ^ 10 last pic looks wet and bacterial in the uncolonized part on the bottom right. Could pose problems. 11 refer to 1 12 ^
Overall 5/12 is trustworthy IMO. Hope u got more jars going

That is solid growth for only 2 weeks from spore. Since you loaded them with tons of innoculant, they have a ton of genetics going on.
Best jars are prime for g2g expansion. That will slim down the genetics per jar too, which could help as not all of them will play nice with each other.

If the wet ones aren't bacterial, they probably will be. You can let them continue and see what happens.
I don't know exactly how you mixed it, but should be 2 parts verm, 1 part water, 1 part BRF. If you mix the water and verm real well first and then add the flour after, it doesn't get as sticky.
You probably didn't take on any extra moisture during the PC cycle, it probably just wasn't mixed well and then you added more liquid from your syringe. Adding a lot of spores isn't just wasteful, the extra water can exacerbate an already wet sticky cake problem.

So consolodation just means letting it sit for another week right?
Also should I do the 24 hour dunk with these still even though they are already more wet than an average one would be?

Dunk them anyway. It may save you a little misting in the beginning. They can look really wet when in the jar because of condensation, but actually not be that wet in the middle.
Consolidation is to allow the myc enough time to metabolize nutrients. It won't pin until the myc thinks its out of nutrients.

How long is this period of consolidation? the problem is I'm not sure how long those jars have been at 100% if you guys are saying they are, so i'm not sure when to dunk and roll now.

when i suspect bacterial contamination, if there is a change in colour and wet fuzziness, i dump them immediately. if the bacterial contam is suspected locally, then i mark the borders of white mycelium with a marker and track if the growth quickly take over the uncolonized patches. if not it is almost always bacteria.
when you see the jars all white, write a date with a marker and track seven days. then dunk them in cold water for a day at most, then rock n roll.
good luck

If it's been 2 weeks and they're fully colonized, consolidate for 2 weeks.
1 week consolidation is best for substrates that have been colonizing for a good amount of time.

Once the fully colonized jars are consolidated for about a week you want to dunk and roll them...

Once they are completely covered in white, except the dry verm layer won't be, they are 100%. Then, let them sit for an extra week, that's the consolidation period.
If you don't know when they were 100%, just estimate; it's not hard science. You can go a little longer if you want; they usually don't pin until they've consolidated anyway.
If you birth them early, they will consolidate in the FC and colonize more of the verm you roll it in. If you birth them later, they may not take as long to pin after birthing. IMHO, waiting is better.
