I'm a huge fan of pretty much all of his films. I was struggling to come to a decision so I'll list my top 3 films.
2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY A CLOCKWORK ORANGE EYES WIDE SHUT
I would have put Dr Strange love but EWS does it for me.

Haven't seen any, only heard of him this week.
Debating on what I should watch first, Strangelove or Clockwork?

2001 is great, Full Metal Jacket is a good war movie too, seems like a lot of people forget that he did that.
I don't know if I have a favorite though, but I definitely like the atmosphere/cinematography of The Shining, and the cinematography of 2001 is great, Clockwork is good too, oh man I don't have a favorite.
I have not seen Eyes Wide Shut, or Doc Strangelove, so will have to check them out soon.

Yeah I know about Full metal jacket but to me the underlying messages (antiwar) just seemed to strong to be on my 'favourites' list. Eyes wide shut is about the satanic rituals that the so called elite perform. It has heavy messages in it regarding child abuse so be aware when watching it.

2001. The only ones I haven't watched yet are Spartacus and Barry Lyndon.

Spartacus Kubrick kind of disowned, as he didn't have creative control over it and it wasn't "his" movie. When his first box set came out back in the nineties, it began with Lolita.
Barry Lyndon is excellent. Some of the best cinematography I've ever seen. The movie is essentially like a moving painting, it's really beautiful. Kubrick actually pioneered a new technology for the film. Obviously, in eighteenth century Europe they only had candles to provide light. Kubrick invented a camera that could film the movie under candlelight alone. So throughout the whole thing, there is no artificial lighting. Pretty interesting.

Indeed. I'll still watch Spartacus at some point, just to watch all his movies.
I've seen some stills and the cinematography does indeed look beautiful.

From the ones I've seen, The Shining is my favourite at the moment.

Seen everyone. Clockwork Orange is for the youth who get it.. shining is for the drunks who get it. Shining takes it. Though King denounced it because of the belittlement of Kubrick to his writing.
Fuck it, I want to go to that place despite Ghost Adventures guest saying it is worse. The vibes. I fear almost nothing. And it doesn't get as snowed in as you were led to believe.

The 67 landings take the cake. I mean people still believe those flimsy space suits were as competent as earths atmosphere at stopping micro meteorites. Oh man maybe the truth does lose some wars hahahahaha

Clockwork Orange, 2001, Dr Srangelove, and Full Metal Jacket (at least for the first half) That's my 4. Barry Lyndon and Lolita were kind of interesting and Eyes Wide Shut was halfway interesting.
