Fruiting a glad mini round BRF cake

So I noc'd up some BRF in glad mini rounds using a similar set up to "pasty plates." My original thought was going to be to crumble and transfer them to grain via P2G because I was having trouble with agar, and then I was going to put those grains to a CVG mini mono. Now my agar kicked off, I've got tons of grain jars going, so I'm thinking about avoiding the hassle and just fruiting them out of the cup...is that okay? If so, for the dunk, would I knock off the dry verm later, top off the mini rounds with tap water, soak for 24 hrs, pour out the excess water, and then reapply another dry verm later?
Thanks everyone!

I'll be fruiting them right in the cup, so really I want to scrap off the old verm layer, top the mini round off with water, soak the cake still in the jar, dump out the water, and then reapply a new dry verm layer on top. These won't be going into a fruiting chamber, but fruiting straight from the mini round.

Yes, you should befenit from a verm casing layer, otherwise it'll be a bitch to maintain those cakes. Just what you said, remove the old layer, dunk and then case it again with some verm.

So you're planning on open air fruiting for those cakes? That'd be a huge hassle to maintain because cakes lose humidity really quickly. You could make some kind of little makeshift FC for them.

So I'm good to dunk right inside the jar that it's already in, rather than pulling it out, dunking it, and putting it back. It would make sense that the cake would still soak up the water inside the mini round and then I could just dump out any extra water. I'll probably have to keep an eye on it actually so the cake doesn't suck up all the water...but I feel like the dunk could be conducted right inside the jar that the cake is already in. I could see pulling them out if I were doing a dry verm roll or putting them into a fruiting chamber, but since I'm not, I'm going to how it a try. Then I will attach the pop bottle around the outside like you described in another post.
I also just seen the big gulp TEK. I might just pull out my cakes and drop them into a big gulp so I don't have to improvise a pop bottle set up lol

No, there will be the pop bottle enclosure around the mini round

dunking in the same container without pulling them out? Idk, but I think the myc would absorb water more easily if you just pulled the cakes out and did a proper dunking. Then you could put the cakes back in the container if you want.

But I was not talking about glad mini rounds. The pop top acts as a humidity dome, but only if you can fit it snugly on top of a round container.

It would essentially be the same concept. I will put the mini round inside of a larger container, then cut off the bottom of a pop bottle, an attach it to that larger container. Stuff with polyfil. Now it will keep in moisture/humidity, and also provide FAE. It's the same thing you told the other cultivator, except he had a half pint mason jar. The mini rounds are half pint also.

ok ok I think I'm getting it now lol So you're going to do the same but using glad mini rounds, right? it should work the same I'd do a proper dunking, though.

Ok cool. Thanks for your input. I'm going to do an experiment and see if these mini rounds would fit into a 7-11 big gulp cup...if they do, I'm going to use that. That is such an awesome idea.
