Hi
I got curious about making spore prints on glass slides, since i have a whole box of them, and also other disclosed reasons.
Theres not a whole lot of information out there, my assumption is that maybe it really is as simple as make the print, set another slide ontop, tape together and your done.
Or is there anything else to it? Different ways to cover a slide, attach them together, etc.

Spore prints benefit from drying before being sealed away so, keep that in mind while formulating all this.

are you doing this to store the spores for later use or making slides to view with a scope?

A bit of both and something else as well. One, of the many things i would like to do involve just making a heavy syringe/syringes on the spot or at the time to use right away, using a whole print, which is easier to do with glass, plainly i trust glass more than foil, short term storage of course, basically with each grow i make some slides to use for the next grow as well as putting prints on foil for longer term storage. Thats just ONE thing though, not the whole reason.
Also someone i know is prepared to pay allot of money for a large number of cube strains on slides for actual research, im not going to charge for them of course other than my actual expenses, ill be getting a sealed carton of quality slides in storage boxes, 200 pairs (of which ill only need to send back 24, 2 prints per strain, the rest i can keep), plus ill end up with multiples of all my different prints ive collected from giveaways/contests/trades, funded out of someone elses pocket, besides all the mushrooms left afterwards
He couldnt say what the research was, my impression is that given the medical background of what he is usually involved in, that it involves medical psilocin mushrooms, and also that the place they were expected to get the prints from would charge over $100 per slide print and 3-4 months to release them (hence why he wants me to supply them instead). Im not sure if they intend to grow them off the slides, i cant imagine what they would pay so much for otherwise to get multiple strains of the same species, but, i intend to do this as professionally as possible. since He wanted spores wedged between two slides, instead of taped using a normal adhesive window, i asume hell want to remove them from the slide (or the second slides).
He was pretty vague about details, just saying its largely up to me, just have to get prints on the slides he sent, but, again, i want to do it right, for both him and myself also, since i definitely will be growing them.
