You must prep the potato flakes before hand.

This recipe has recently been amended.  This is the new section:

LME: (optional)
- 2 grams light malt extract
- 2 grams agar
- 1/2 cup water
- optional: food coloring

Has anyone tried this technique yet and willing to share experiences with it versus the original recipe of?:

- 1 gram honey or raw sugar
- 2 grams agar
- 3 grams potato flakes (plain instant mashed potatos)
- 1/2 cup water
- optional: food coloring

Thanks!

I’ve noticed alot of sediment fall too the bottom of agar dishes. Could this explain why im struggling to get my spores to germinate as all the nutrients have fallen to the bottom?
