and get this. no fucking kidding, when I was eating like this (after a few weeks) my farts wouldn't stink ladies?? ;)
Without actually looking up protein contents, seems a bit low.
Depending on how much he means by 'a lot' of hemp seed, it is a decent source of protein and fat.

Thanks, it took a little trial and error to figure out what I wanted to use. I found the apple cider really gives it a sweet taste. I recently upped the amount of carrots from 100-125 grams, and cucumber from 1/4-1/3. I've found it is extra thick now, so if you prefer yours to be more liquid, just dial those back a bit. Also, the lemon juice is that concentrated lemon juice you can buy in a bottle.

Might try that next. I'm just using this concentrate stuff as I had a bottle in the fridge (for lemon tek method) when I started doing these shakes a month or so ago.

Sweet lawd thats a new one for the books
Here is my morning "Wake the fuck up" smoothie
2 cups almond milk Almonds - Shitload of them Blueberries - Shitload of them Strawberries - (eat a few) Shitload of them Peanut Butter - at least 2 cups Bananas - 2 frozen or not Chia seeds - 2 table spoons Spinach - 2-3 cups worth (a giant handful) Caffeine pill crushed up - 200mg Protein powder
I want to try to experiment with some different fruits and veggies but this is what i got so far. Am totally down for new ones as long as they taste amazing and always contain at least spinach and or kale due to the super awesome nutritional benefits.
2 cups of peanut butter
Are you trying to gain weight, that seems like a shitload of calories first thing in the morning.

I "eat" at least 2 smoothies a day, sometimes I do 3.
I'll do a dank fruit smoothie in the morning before I leave for work, and then for lunch a really filling raw veggie/avocado smoothie and I'll usually eat a roasted sweet potato and a handful of cashews/walnuts.
My eating has become very simple, with the focus on nourishment rather than satisfaction of taste buds. I want food that tastes delicious to me with very little preparation, and provides maximum nourishment for my body.
Morning Fruit Smoothie:
1/2 cup frozen blueberries 1/2 cup frozen raspberries 1/4 cup almond flour (or almond butter, whatever I have on hand) 3 tbsp hemp seed 2 tbsp chia seed 2 tbsp flax seed 1 tbsp raw cacao powder 1 tsp bee pollen (local, ideally)
That's almost 500 calories and close to 20g of protein right there. Sometimes I boost it with some kind of vegan plant protein and that is anywhere from 15-20 additional grams of protein.
"Salad in a cup" Smoothie:
1 cup raw spinach 1/2 cup chopped cucumber 1 whole avocado about 1/2 inch or 1 inch chunk of ginger depending on the size/shape Juice of half a lemon Blended with water
Sometimes I'll do another one of those later in the day with carrots instead of avocado.
I hate salads, so this is my version of eating a salad every day.
Then for dinner I'll have a cooked piece of chicken or fish with cooked veggies like steamed broccoli and/or cauliflower.

i have two big smoothies a day - one for breakfast and one for dinner
i don't see anything wrong with it - it all depends on what you put in it - really blending it all up is akin to chewing it up really well and likely helps absorption i would think. plus food preparation and clean up is quite easy

I suppose I conceptually don't understand raw diets and would consider them to abnormal eating behavior as well. Even monkeys prefer cooked foods to raw ones. You are taking man's first invention - fire, and discounting it to nothing. 10,000 years? 25,000 years of fire and cooking to be overturned by people that decided they know better.
Not to say there isn't a place in a balanced diet for regular smoothies and raw foods, but when all your meals are blended you definitely have a problem in my eyes.

The only sugar in my morning smoothie is from the fruit - maybe 10g-11g, and that's the only sweet/sugar I consume for the day....

I think the general (ridiculous) argument is that cooking breaks down nutrients.
While that isn't even true in most cases, what is - cooking helps break down food and give it greater bioavailability.
There are a few enzymes that aid in digestion like myrosinase in broccoli that are destroyed by heat.
That doesn't do much good if you only absorb a fraction of the nutrients in the first place.
The again, I've seen campaigns against schools irradiating food, because apparently radiation is bad.
Apparently those people don't ever use a microwave or like.. get sunlight. Fucking retards :V

Radiation is a big scary word and the dictionary is all the way in the other tab. Most people just reach for the posterboard. That being said, why are cooking and smoothies mutually exclusive?
I'd also argue that cooking was primarily developed as a way to remove pathogens from food and preserve it, which is much less important nowadays. I'm not advocating a raw only diet, or any specific diet for that matter. If what you eat gives you the nutrients you need, you're good. If it doesn't, well, you'll be good while you're young I guess...
I think soylent type smoothie meals are perfectly valid, as they are a much easier way to consistently get a day's necessary nutrition into you than watching your diet and cooking whole meals. I also think it's a bit of a cultural thing-the idea of fast food is much less prevalent in some countries other than the US, where meal times are seen as less of a stop at the gas station for your body and more of a ritualistic social gathering or some other form of affirmation of life.
