Buy a damp-rid container(dessicant that I have heard is sold at Wal-Mart and at some hardware stores) and put the mostly dry shrooms in the black cup inside. You'll see what I meen if you buy Damp-Rid.

Well, I've heard the best way to preserve them is to put them in a small sandwhich bag, place that in a jar with dessicant in it. Then put the lid on and place in the fridge (not freezer). But if you don't have dessicant, then I assume you could just put it in the jar and in the fridge for just 5 days. Thats probally your best bet.

PappaKaps, that doesnt make any sense at all. If they are in a sandwich bag, then the dessicant won't have any effect on them. If you put them in a jar in a fridge for a few days then all you will have left is a black, gooey, rotten mess.
If you have already fan dried for 24 hours, then you should be fine in the dessicant chamber provided you cut up the larger shrooms lengthwise before the fanning. It is not necessary to use the fridge or the freezer. If you can't find damp-rid, then get some silica gel, which is used for drying flowers and can be bought at craft stores. Otherwise, continuing to fan-dry will do quite nicely.
