NJ morels are up!
    #12485581 - 04/30/10 08:00 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

Found about 15 morels in northern NJ today
Most were too small to pick without guilt, but I got a dinner out of the few that weren't.

It was an awesome first foraged meal of the year. Morels and ramps (wild leeks) are amazing together.

Nice ones, Dishez.  I found two Ramps picked and discarded in two of my Black patches this year.  Not a good sign.

Well I am in the same area vinsue, and I have not found any yet.  I have only searched for a little bit though, but have not seen anything underneath elm trees.  I found some very large ones last year, I posted them here I believe, and that was in late May in NY.

I hope you find something soon.
