Mold or mycelium!?
    #23177715 - 05/01/16 08:18 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

So like 2 months ago, my buddy hooked it up with cake already started(cubes), my other buddy got me a heating mat, about a week and a half into the easiest part of the process the mat shorts out while im at school and cathes fire. Thank god my cat clawed my friend until he woke cause the trailer was completely filled with smoke. Annnnnyway is this mold or mycelium? I kinda just left it in the closet in a cardboard box that has blankets on it all day and night. It gets hot(60F) during the day and cold(40F) at night. Thanks for the help dudes! Have a righteous day!

The images can't be expanded because you deleted them already. Nobody can help you until you fix that.

You have to wait until the jars reach 100% colonization and after that, as a general rule you leave them alone for a whole week to consolidate. Then you can birth the cakes.

Your chances of successs are almost guaranteed once your cakes reach full colonization without contam issues. Once you birth them, they're very contam-resistant and you don't have to worry in that respect... just wait, mist, fan and enjoy the show.

Also, when you birth them you should "dunk and roll" them, research that, it's totally worth it
