I've had a few odd black mushrooms and aborts on my cakes. Are they safe to eat? These are GT's, and no, they're not spores dropped from another fruit. It's something else. Not sure what though...

Those are being consumed by bacteria. I wouldn't eat them. Serious gastric issues may occur

I wouldn't chance it either... well... because a couple aborts is not worth getting sick over.

Pseudomonas. Nasty bacteria. If you dry them properly, you can eat them without getting sick. But it might give you bad breath.
