Spent substrate recycling

So, I finally moved to a place with a yard. Thinking about my options with spent substrate. I could: A) compost it. B) Toss it in the garden for fertilizer... And maybe a few mushrooms would grow? C) Barry it and case with leaves and shit...
Any suggestions/experience?

Compost it with manure and water it every now and again.

spent cakes, substrate, etc will usually produce fruit again if buried outside.

How quickly does it compost down?
By the way, thanks for the input everyone. I don't have access to manure, but I can get straw.

Check home depot or local hydro shops. my local depot sells black kow. just make sure you pasteurize it. it's not the best, but better than nothing.

If you put a pallet on the bottom of your pile it will help with airflow. I also keep a bag of lime out by my pile as well and mix a little in whenever I go out to turn it. Can't say exactly how long it will take, where I live it is hot as fuck (which helps it break down), and I add new substrates almost everyday. If I had to guess I would say around 2 months?
have fun!
