Hello all, I have used your site for some successful tips and tricks for years never really  bothered posting anything. Well I came across this advertisement on Fakebook and instantly got wet thinking about how it may be a great tool. I did a forum search and nothing about it here so wondered if a SME (subject matter expert) could give their two cents.

pft... prolly waaaaay more expensive to buy this "Space Age Technology" than the benefits it would provide.. just saying. i would never buy it. good ol' SGFC or Mono is fine with me. i mean how much is something like that?t, too?

dont get me wrong, it seems like a cool idea, for sure. and if it actually worked like ti says it does, then it could be really cool. but i just highly doubt it does/would.

EDIT - i know you asked for experts on the subject matter, and i am far from an expert. just my :twocents:

The largest model is 1,000 and the smaller ones are anywhere from 200 and up to 1000. Its closer to a set it and forget option. Its contained, does automatic misting, has a heating system built in with automatic air exchange. If you are like me and always on the go you can control it from your phone. I myself get tired of fanning out fruiting chambers, misting with bottles, having cheap tupperware laying around. I guess it would be more for people who dont mind dropping a grand on convenience with a more eye pleasing grow chamber. From what I gather you can control everything from the exact humidity to the exact temperature from your phone. Ive done the tub in tub, the heating pads with timers, and all that other jazz just think this would be less work.

Of course you would want to disable that pesky HD camera or tunnel your connection to it through an encrypted p2p connection. Whenever you connected to their cloud system I would be blocking that ole camera off too.

meh, just seems way overpriced for something that probably wont work the way you want ti to/think it will.. lots of the automated systems i have seen people use end up failing somewhere.. i mean a lot of people get them to work for them, too. but personally, i would stick to the proven method, especially since i dont mind misting and stuff. but to each his own =]

I also am more looking at the idea than the actual biopod product itself. I wonder if there are other similar solutions. Ive been wanting something like this instead of martha chambers and any of the other homebrew automated systems. Something more refined and exact.

You could totally setup something like that DIY with a variety of timers and an ultrasonic humidifier with a hose hookup. It's pointless though because monotubs provide the perfect climate if they're dialed in. Greenhouse setups would benefit more from an automated humidifier because you can fit more substrates in at once. That biopod would be a fun toy if you were rich and wanted to raise some exotic amphibians or plants...

yeah i agree with what Gaia said, and also agree that the idea is cool. i mean i would love to try out something like that, and might if i were rich haha. but yeah, if you put your mind to it, it can be done

I guess I need to be a little more clear, would this work or not. What parts of this would be a failure.

I dont want to know whats already the "tried and true" knowledge all over the forums.

They're just trying to save you money and help you. No need to be pissed they're trying to help. The product is probably a waste of cash when you could make your own basically as was said earlier
