smell after using PC

After you use the pressure cooking to sterilize your BRF cakes, is it suppose to have a strange smell? I left the jars in the PC over night so that they could cool, was I suppose to take them out of it or at least open the lid?

I kind of like the smell of cooking confections.

Well, it's probably gonna smell a little like cooked BRF. That's a good thing. Similarly, if you are using popcorn as a substrate, the PC/room is going to smell a bit like cooked popcorn. Unless your pressure cooker smells like chocholate cake (or something else completely awry) I think you're in the clear. Don't skimp on the sterile techniques while innoculating, and have fun with your mushies.
