This is my first monotub attempt lol I forgot all about them I made the casing Little thick and they were taking longer than my pancakes do so I kinda just moved on I peeked in last night and Cheezus crust it looks like a smurf village in all 4 tubs .. my questions are when can I open to pic should I wait till all are ready. How touchy are they are they gonna contam if im not carefully bout my steril process I mean with my walk in green house im starting to get used to the idea of them being ok for Short periods in open air settings (I still wear a mask, clean clothes, gloves, head covering )basicly my question is how susceptible to contam are they at this stage? they are half way through the first flush

after you open the jars to spawn the tubs all sterility is gone
You can open the tubs whenever. When my tubs are pinning and I happen to be with the tubs I'll mist & remove the top poly fill so fae is increased for a few hours.

If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

After I harvest the entirety of the first flush I pull back my liner from the sub & pour water all around the edge until the sub floats, even pouring water all over the top. I let it soak for like 30 mins or something. When draining keep one hand kinda palming the sub so it won't fall and just tip the fc at the corner, when the stream of water stops just re-poly the holes and wait a week or so for the second flush.
I mist when it looks dry. Maybe six pulls on the sprayer evenly over the sub. The point being have surface moisture + fae ~ evaporation. Usually only once (when it's pinning) because the field capacity in the sub has enough water for the first flush. I used to mist/fan like x times per day but Ive since turned away from daily maintenance, it's not needed.
