Mazatapec and PEU grow log 1

Alright guys well it's about that time for things to get interesting so I'm going to go ahead and put a grow log here. This will only be my second grow so all input is appreciated.
4/4 - inoculated 5 BRF jars with PEU
4/6 - inoculated 3 WBS with Mazatapec (one to be used for G2G.
4/25 - BRF jars almost colonized
4/25- Advised to give WBS jars a shake.
4/29 - Both BRF and WBS fully colonized
While I was originally planning to do the classic PF Tek 4 the cakes I have decided to go ahead and do a monotub with them as well.
I have sourced some horse poo and have left it to leach outside for several days. We have had some sun and also some rain so tomorrow I'm going to begin the process of pasteurization. Also today I got to 70 quart steriles and will begin construction of the monotube tomorrow.

So today I got started on the bulk substrate. Went ahead and got some coco and gypsum. My poo has Been sitting outside for several days. Although it is raining today I went ahead and decided to go with it.
I used about a 60/30 mix (poo to Coco/verm) with a small handful of the gypsum. I decided on 7 quarts of substrate for the two jars of WBS spawn I am currently using Franks pasterization Tek.

It's actually a Mazatapec cube strain. Just realized that. Will have to see if I can change the thread name.
I dunked the cakes for 24 hours and introduced them to the SGFC ON 5/5. I probably went a bit premature on them due to the fact that one cake broke while dunking (put that in the yard).
The WBS I covered and allowed to consolidate until this evening. Below are pictures of both.
Any input from more knowledgable growers and how things are looking?

So here are the latest pics. First sign of pins on the tub. You can see a few good pronounced ones in the corners. I had a feeling this was about to happen over the last few days as I started to see little spikes in the mycelium. Is this a sign of pinning? Or is this the actual pinning itself?
As far as the cakes go I don't see anything other than a little bit more bluing.

You are not filling those saucers with water right? Cause if you are that could be a problem. We only bottom water cakes once the pinset is in. Doing it before that could waterlog the cake and delay pinning.

No I'm not filling them with water. That could only be from misting. I was a bit concerned about the water there too but also concerned about the bluing.
Also I did take these pictures immediately after misting.

I'll probably do some concentrated misting on the plates when that happens. What do you think of the tub? Any opinion on my enquiries about that?

So here is the tub this morning. I don't really know whether to be happy with this or not.

Well it is colonized AF. That's a good thing. I have a couple of Puerto Rican tubs that have stayed looking that way for over a month now. PR is known to be a slow fruiter so I am being patient with them. They are monster colonizers though. They rip through agar, grain, cvg, jiffy mix... But then they just sit at 100%. So, be patient.

It looks dry. It also looks a bit unhealthy. I would mist it, and dial the poly in tighter. Keep an eye on it for green.

i love me some mazatepacas.
I would get some smaller plates if i were u, the large saucer plates are kinda blocking a lot of the perlite below.
othe than that, looking good. tub looks healthy too, about to pin.

I went ahead and put the cakes on foil. I was surprised at how dry the perlite was so I wet it down good during the transfer.
Pasty - I don't have poly, I went with Doc_T's mini tub Tek (basically SGFC). The discoloration appeared the other day after refilling my water bottle. I wonder if the water was too warm? Also I didn't do a very good job at leveling out my substrate and the bluing is in one of the higher regions. Here are some updated pics with a few close ups.

I hate that POS Doc_T mini mono. Them shits dry out faster than a whore at a bar mitzvah. It's completely wrong given the priciples of a mono and a SGFC. It's how I envision a FC would be designed by someone who had zero understanding of how a monotub and SGFC actually work.
Nuff ranting, point is you are gonna need to mist the shit outta that thing to see anything but a few determined fruits from it.

Will do sir. Being my first attempt at a bulk I decided to go with something small. However from that WBS I did a g2g on 7 more quart jars. It's amazing the difference in time. Those are just about ready to go now. Do you have a tek that you would suggest for a traditional tub?
I think I'm ready to put the PF Tek to rest. After I finish with these jobs I have now. So far on the second go-around I've had no issues with contamination so I don't see the use in continuing with PF Tek

Put the PF Tek to rest and go ahead and pull the trigger on some agar.
