Aquatic allies
    #2315197 - 02/08/04 06:11 PM (20 years, 19 days ago)

I was just wondering if anyone's heard of any aquatic plants with psychoactive properties (or any other interesting properties like a painkiller or stimulant). It appears to be that either aquatic plants lack some element necessary towards that kind of evolution or that there simply hasnt been enough research done. If anyone can enlighten me as to this issue please do so!

If I'm not mistaken, both Blue Lotus and White Lotus are aquatic. Also, acorus calamus is aquatic.

Datura ceratocaula is sometimes described as being semi-aquatic.
