If you still have drops left in the syringe you are golden. One drop has millions of spores in it, two drops doesn't make a differen e, it's overkill. The best thing to do is do 1 drop on 6 or so plates to increase your chances of success. Sometimes the spores don't want to germinate.

Nope, with agar less is more. The more spore solution you squirt in the plate the higher your chances of contamination. One drop is more than enough.
Keep watching the vids till you see the one in which he's inoculating the agar plate with a swab. I'd do that in your situation, since you already have a print and it's better and less messy to inoculate agar with a spore print than with spore solution.
Why do you think your syringe is weak? If you can't see the spores that doesn't mean is weak. Spore syringes are almost always greatly overloaded with spores. You could count thousands if not millions of spores in a single drop. Anyway, I really think spore print to agar is your best option.

Dude, I have over 7 ML of the GT syringe. If this is true I'm way more confident now!
The only thing is that I inoculated 3 jars with this syringe in back in mid-February, 1 Ml in each, and only one jar colonized and from only one spot. That's my small concern.
But hey If all I need is one agar container to colonized and I can clone from that then I can keep trying just one drop until I get a container to colonize.

BTW OP, check out this link as well. You'll see how easy it is to inoc an agar plate with a spore print.

I thought that the print I made were mostly probably contaminated..? I'm not sure if I know which video you're saying but I'll watch them all.
Mine is weak cause it's almost a year old and only colonized one jar out of three.

Well your print might have contams, but the purpose of agar is that it allows you to isolate healty mycelium away from any possible contamination. I think all those vids and links will answer most of your questions, but if you still have any questions after reading them, you can make a new thread to ask.

To me it sounds like this is what you're saying.
My spore prints are mostly likely contaminated.
But if I scrap some off with a cotton swab onto some ready agar mixture, if it is contaminated it will cultivate both healthy mycelium and contaminated.
Then I cut a part of the healthy part of the mycelium from that agar container, and drop it into a new agar container? And viola healthy mycelium ready to colonize in a jar?
So I'm basically 100% set since I have a bunch of prints and a syringe..

Shroomboy5 said: Alright man. Is the Agar powder safe to ship to CA? Looks like that's 30-40 dollars. And do you know where I can get the petris?
Yes agar is not only used to grow illegal mushrooms. Nothing sketchy about it
Agar agar on amazon - $6 Boxed potatoes - 2$ Honey - free if you got it Glad mini rounds - $4 for 8
That's all you need. If they are charging $40 fuck that.
I started with agar too, it's not hard once you do it a few times.

I think agar is abundant in California. It is used a lot in Asian cuisine

I like MEA. $44 per lb after shipping is pretty good. Makes about 300 dishes give or take. I like how it performs over PDA. I've used a lot of both and MEA always seems to have the superior results.

not sure if someone linked this yet, but these are Pasty Plates and are supper easy. agar is a lot less complicated than it seems. i made lots of plates before my first grow was even fruiting.
