Pink dots on my grains

Hey all.

I understand that these pink dots are most likely a yeast infection - I have them in 2 of my 7 jars.

I have also seen these yeast infected jars spawned to substrate with success:

Is there a definitive explanation to what this infection is?
I'm just curious, I'm going to throw these jars out either way.

by the way, they showed up within 2 days of inoculation by agar wedge

Could be yeast.  Certainly does look like it.  Are you using a HEPA flow hood or a still air box?
