If you look at some of the earliest pictures in this thread, you see that these green spots weren't there :p
That's what's worrying me

It can't be bruising from harvest, because I harvested the bottom
The kit cointainer was turned upside down, when starting 2nd flush(this one).

Lets hope it's nothing xD

This mister I bought me, still smells a little funky, from the glass cleaning solution that was in it, when I bought it.
I rinsed it, at least 10 times, both with hot water and dishwashing soap, but the smell still persists.

Could this cause any harm to the mushrooms?

Doubt it. Mine smelled like cleaning agents too for the longest time. Has never caused a problem for me.

Is it possible they are bruised from being overly wet in just those spots? I know it can bruise for that reason alone.

I've never seen it bruise from being wet, but almost always from being dry. Usually it gets all metabolitie when it's wet.

When dry it can get very bruised.

My old mister was terrible, and was almost spraying droplets.
The new one is much better, and I won't worry about the smell then

Thanks for the info :mushroom2:

Soo, there might be a problem :/
3 of the 5 sides are pinning fine, and growing okay.
the last 2 sides(top and one side) has almost no pins(1-2) and no real growth.
What should i do?

Also the green spots are more clear now?

Thanks in advance

Could somebody tell me, if I should be worried?
The green is certainly more visible more.

Thanks

Did you dunk? It def still looks dry. That's why you don't have any pinning on top, due to the (lack of) microclimate needed. The conditions seem better on the sides and bottom indicating that it could also be not enough humidity to retain moisture. Also, have you re-wet your perlite?

People might give me some crap for this, but you should dunk and roll that thing in some verm and wet it down, IMO.

If the green spots get bigger, then you need to trash it and start over. Visible contams means you are seeing their spores. Which are fly in the air at the slightest movement.

That looks like bruising to me. I just misted a dry monotub and that's the color it gave off. Mine is definantly not trich but it's hard to tell with your pictures. My opinion - bruising.

That's bruising.. You can tell because it looks like green mycelium lol.

For anyone who doesn't know what trich looks like, it is thick thick white at first, and lumpy looking, but when green it looks so powdery and sandy, it's like you're on a green beach/mossy forest floor.

Okay, thanks a lot!
It does actually look a little like green myc
The shrooms on 3 sides are growing very well, so I might just wait this flush out, and do a longer dunking between next flush.

I'l post some pictures of the green later.

I still recommend getting some verm on and wetting it down at some point. There is so much more potential to get larger flushes.

You mean on this flush?
How would I go about doing that, when the shrooms are growing?
I'll do it, if it may improve anything

Soo now i have some pictures(phone).

This is the cake and it still has these green spots. I believe all of these green areas are aroun some of the small dead mushrooms.

The big shroom on the side is still growing a lot and the smaller ones seem to grow a little slower :p

Still not really any growth on one of the sides and the top :/

On the back of the cake, another shroom has grown out from the bottom :O

Would it be a terrible idea, to turn the cake over?
It seems like theres pretty good growth from the bottom(with was the top in first flush), than the top(bottom before).

And btw, does it hurt the shrooms to touch the perlite? Like if they grew down against it. Would they even do that, if it was flipped?

Would love some opinions on flipping the cake
Thanks in advance!

some of mine ended up growing own into the perlite. didnt do any damage. but it also wasnt on itfor more than maybe 8-12 hours.. if you are really worried, you can just put a small piece of foil where the shroom grows into the perlite =], thats what i did when i saw it had done that. i also flipped one of my cakes mid-grow, and it was fine.
