Still looking healthy?
    #23156517 - 04/26/16 09:43 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Hello, i'm now waiting on 2nd flush, after dunking the cake for 5 hours.
This is what my cake looks like after 2.5 days.
Does it still look healthy?

For you, who hasn't seen my earlier threads about this cake, its a grow kit, which was moved to sgfc and the plastic kit container was removed after 1st flush. This was sort of a mistake, but i just try to mist regularly.

Thanks

Heres a picture of the cake, right after dunk.
It seems like the small shrooms on the from of the cake as died? atleast the color has turned darker :p

I touched the cake, and it felt a little dry.
This was probably a pretty bad idea, but..

I have no idea, if its easier to tell one these, but maybe :P

Also, should i mist the cake directly?
I mist the perite 3-4 times a day and the cake once a day over it,

So now I'm misting the cake too. I might need to get a better mister though :p

Today 2 very small pins has appeared on the side of the cake, which is the side against the radiator(only 0.5-1 degree difference). I don't know if this is the reason, but anyways.

The top of the cake is getting areas of a little more white.
The 2 new sidepins are completely covered in white.

Does is look healthy or should I worry about anything?

My mister is really not that good, it's a glasses rinse bottle
I just haven't stumbled across a mister.

I mist it 4 times a day, both perlite and cake.
The mister has a smaller area, so it's harder to mist wide.
Hope that made sense

Thanks

May I suggest dunking it again, possibly.  Overnight even.  IANAE, so will bow to the greater knowledged.  5 hrs. seems a little on the low side from everything I've come across.

:whathesaid:

You def need to mist more frequently. As was stated you want to see it glisten when it dries up like that. You have to be cyclic with it.

I also second the dunk, maybe for a few hours, completely submerged under cool water.

If it's pinning more, I would not dunk. Just in between flushes.
As far as the health, it looks good with nice clusters. Let's just wait and see how the fruits turn out. Keep it up! :bonghit:

Great, in won't dunk again then(of course between flushes).
I'll just keep up the misting and see where the cake goes
Only a few of the pins are from this flush, but those seem to be growing fine

More pins are coming now, so it seems pretty good.
There's a huge shroom growing in the corner(maybe from the bottom?), possibly caused by flipping the cake, when taking it out of the kit container?

Some white spots look a little green, so i'm scared that this might be mold?

I tried to put the suspect area in the hole :P
But it doesn't seem to really show the color on the picture :/

Also one of the sides doesn't seem to have any pins :P
Is this a problem?

Thanks in advance

trim that foil down to the size of your cake. And keep that bad boy glistening with moisture.

Is this the green you are referring to? It looks more like bruising to me.

Can you post a better photo for us. Don't be afraid to get right in there with your camera.

And this is for you sir.

I just noticed these on the top too.
doesn't the green spots look like mold?
If so, what should I do?
