Stems becoming bluish black?
    #2315211 - 02/08/04 08:28 PM (13 years, 22 days ago)

My FOAF just harvested his first grow off of cakes. Unfortunately after a day of fan drying, the stems are becoming rather bluish to somewhat black.

He was wondering how this will affect the shrooms. Are they still edible, or is this a large problem? The caps look perfectly golden brown and delicious. Thanks for any help.

So they are perfectly fine and edible after a full and complete drying?

its bruising they are supposed to do that its the oxidation like ExtravantDream said and they are fine much away you now you can eat them fresh right they are better that way. When first picked they are about 92% water so do the math most people will just say 90% water so just do it that way. 35 fresh grams = an eight its really easy what ever amount you wanna eat dry times by ten then thats the wet weight its simple as that. And eat those basterds
