18g if using ports, any thicker and you will damage them.
Syringes can be found at vet shops. They are sold for livestock and horses and such.

Naw but seriously, any autoclavable bag source with/without a filter would be much obliged. And darn stainless blender, are those 2 things too much to ask on this god forsaken continent?
this might be helpful instead of the link i gave for a site that doesn't seem to be working...
https://micro-science.co.uk/product-category/mycoculture/
they have a few different bag options.

How did you find your presto? Is it hassle free or do you have to monitor it to make sure it stays at 15psi?
Can anyone give me advice on pressure cookers, please? Although I'd love to buy an AA, it's little too costly for right now.
Choice 1 - I'm thinking about the 23qt presto which has a gauge but no weights - about 110 quid
+separate weights - 13 quid
OR
Choice 2Hawkins 18 Litre Big Boy Aluminium Pressure Cooker £118.00 FREE UK delivery
any thoughts?

Thanks but I'm looking for a larger one. I have a 6L atm but the safety valve thing broke so it doesn't build up pressure. 6L is tiny and I want to do more jars at once for monotubs. 6L PC has only space for 2 x 1L jars.. it sucks.. I'm trying to decide between a 23 qt and 18L and I won't want anything less than 15psi.

I was stuck between this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Artame-Luna-Pressure-Cooker-Litre/dp/B00FWRP6UA?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0
and the hawkins big boy when looking for a large pressure cooker.
The hawkins seem a bit too good to be true for the price and its made in India I think
there are chinese ones on ebay like AAs but can they be trusted as safe, and ive seen tattoo and medical instrument pressure sterilizers that are large but I dont know if they would work for what we need.
its a shame that the U.K is not into pressure canning its a bit of a poor choice for us brits and the import cost is so high for AA sterilizers, prestos arent meant to be as good as AAs but look better than the hawkins big boy
I might save for the AA but I like the Luna and its price tag

I reccomended the Presto, it's a solid widely used PC.
I put a couple of ten euro cent coins to make it starr jiggling a little later and this way I can keep it on low heat with the jiggler moving rather slowly.
An AA is even better but the weight makes it expensive to ship.
Thanks for the bag links, much appreciated.

Been looking at ebay for a while now, shit is expensive and it doesn't look like there will be any good deals. Don't even get me started on the Waring ones, that shit will vaporize your butthole altogether.
You trying to make a slurry? I bought a few parts - blades / rubber gasket to fit into a mason jar - i modified it to run on a drill. Problem was the gasket was slightly too thick resulting in me being unable to seat the mason lid to hold the blades in. I tried some gasket paper instead but no good.

95 quid, not bad at all for that! Thanks, its a good find. It only lacks the gauge and I can't see whether it has a weight. I think i've paid 110 for the presto all included.

I will sell you Hawkins for 70 pounds. On ebay X X It's a gem. Will do 6 liter jars in a single cook. Which is fairly decent.
