Welcome
The white fuzzy spots is what look a lil' sussy. What was your method to get to this point? It might do well in a Fatlockโข๏ธ
Thank you! So I used a spore syringe to inoculate rice, and then put the rice to coir/vermiculite. Iโll be watching those spots, thanks. Whatโs a Fatlock?

its golden teacher. My main question is whether the thicker fluffier parts are better than the flatter, fainter, but more uniform areas.

Does this look like the beginning of trich? I think the sub must have been too wet because when I popped the shoebox lids they were quite wet after a week so I put them in my monos to hopefully save them. Iโm having trouble dialing in my monotub tek.

But it is likely the result of the mycelium fighting bacteria

It didnโt look like any trich I have seen so far either but my monotub experience is limited and hasnโt really gone too well. Just needed a better opinion. Appreciate it.

I know itโs not ideal but would this be something I could fruit without issue as long as I keep an eye on it or should I not take the chance? I had the lid on for a week, pretty sure my sub must have been too wet and the top was pretty wet when I checked so I took it off and put them in the monotub

It's ok to let them keep doing their thing. Def give them FAE now. ๐คDo you have any projects in line behind these?

Yea I have more jars going but I was really hoping to get these fruiting for me. The others wonโt be ready for another week or 2 and Iโm still getting my rye grain prep dialed in also so I guess depending on the batch (Iโve been experimenting) and when it was prepared it depends on how it colonizes in the jar as well. Itโs all a work in progress, just wanted to know if I should get these out of my area now or not. Didnโt look bad and not sporulating so I want too worried. Still better safe than sorry.

Little black specs on some Nat myc. This Natalensis culture seems very vigorous, wondering if it could fight it off or itโs a death sentence.

You sure it's black? Kinda looks like bruising. Do you see any away from where the bag can touch? I could be wrong though.
