Hi, y’all! This is my fourth time growing mushrooms using PF Tek (I’m moving to a bulk method my next time around just don’t know which way I’m gonna go) and I’ve never had a contamination issue and I wanted to see if this is just bruising or some actual badness. Thanks for your help!

It isn't necessary. I find I get better surface conditions with top layer tho.

Newbie here I've built a SAB box based on Bod's Easy AF SAB TEK Agar work based on How I do agar easy & simple and the sterile work based on Improve your sterile techniques!

What are these? How can I improve my Tek? How can these be saved?
Thanks in advance!

bottom left has some healthy myc. Try and grab the white and move to new agar, rest of the plates are hard to tell if salvageable.
I always call it slime mold, but probably incorrect

I put multiple pieces of agar in here and shook it up, is it contaminated or is it greyer because mycelium is starting out thin in multiple places?

Thanks for helping this noobie out.

Hello guys, I'm going to spawn this jar, but I'm not sure that it's OK. As you can see it has pale area on one side which either stopped growing completely or does it very slow. This area has some tiny white layer though, which is seen on picture. Could it be sign of contamination or is it ready for spawning? Sorry if question sounds stupid, I'm just a first-timer.

Thanks, I am just gonna toss them.
Its weird I went Spore Syringe to Agar, and those two plates are like transfer 3+. So I am wondering if its my plates, my scapel or maybe i just didnt do proper sterile tech, when I did those transfers.

Hello,
I inoculated two 1kg (2.2lb) rye grain bags on the 3rd of May and when I was looking at the bags today I noticed one of them had a bit of discolouration in the corner of the bag.
I was considering mixing the bags but was worried that this bag might be contaminated and mixing it would spread the contamination.
This is the bag with the discoloured section

This is the top of the bag

And this is the other bag

Any input would be greatly appreciated, this is my first time attempting a grow
Thanks

This is my 2nd attempt at a grow, first time using homemade jars. I decided to try both wheat berries (no rye available) and brf jars, spores from a trusted source (b+). My pressure cooker was only able to go about 75 minutes before I had to turn it off (didn't realize the steam nozzle was slowly letting moisture out, pc ran dry). I've been worried since injection that they might not have cooked all the way or might get contaminated. After 2 weeks, im finally seeing growth, but can anyone tell me if it looks like good growth? BRF:

Wheat Berries (it is shaken up little to get the vermiculite at the bottom worked around)

Thanks for any advice, and if they look fine, ill sit back and let them grow.
