Coir + verm. Really hoping it isn’t the sub, because it’s two different preps. If it was one bad bucket, again no prob. But two bad buckets across several grows wouldn’t be awesome.
Just curious what grain do you use?

It's the mycelium telling me it loves me even though I just lost a tub to Trich...
Either that or you have a secret trich admirer sending you love notes

No no no no no! I cannot have another Trich admirer. I just had a huge love letter from Trich in my 1st tub. It made me so sad to dump that tub because it was from when I was new enough that I hadn't started working with agar yet so I have no backups of that strain.
Mold is easy to get rid of once you get used to looking at agar. Now bacteria...that's the real love clingy fucker, always stalking you from behind your grains, tries to say things will be different this time, ugh lol Check out the How it should look, and clean spawn checklist links in my sig. Ton of great pics to start studying to see how mycelium reacts to the invisible contams.

Ants are easy I got the secret fix
Google search for a borax sugar water ant poison recipe. Borax is easy to find in the laundry isle. Then drench paper towels in the liquid and place where you see ants. They eat it, dont die, but take it back to the colony to feed to all the other ants, boom dead. Keep away from pets or children It's only poisonous if eaten, completely safe to touch.

It's awesome in your laundry too! Great for getting out body oils from pillow cases and sheets in a hot water soak. It acts just like an oxibooster

Jars of it as liquid wont really be affective. So to protect wildlife drill a big hole in a container that closes tightly that the ants can crawl in and put the liquid soaked paper towels in that.

72 hours for that from spores is impossible so my guess is the spore were already germinated in the syringe which would also be wow that fast
Or
You got a jar full of some kind of mold. Mold is a fungus it grows white mycelium too.

Thanks!
Edit: I took the lid off and there was a whole layer of black fuzz on the top. I think tossing it was the right call.
Sounds like it's a pretty dirty syringe. Dont say the vendor name but was it a trusted one from this site?

Ya know, I get that wet lighting mycelium look usually on one or two sides of my jars. I keep their room at 72°F. And my stuff fruits a bunch with multiple flushes before it contaminates. So I dunno what I think about it.

I wouldn't wait. Take transfers from any fuzzy organized growth. I'd do a few. Yeah stay away from that shiny glob near 6 o'clock on the edge.

Those ones have herpes for sure...
LoL I dunno I'm not seeing some alarming bacterial problem(dont listen to me) like they are but I'm not used to looking at that grain. If they colonize to 100% and there's not uncolonized seeds against the glass then they're probably good enough to definitely top fruit and possibly spawn to bulk in a tub. I spawn lots of jars that have one or two seeds that are wet, or condensation below the grain line, and my tubs dont trich out till after 3rd or 4th flush and I get over a dry zip per jar used.

The mycelium does look a little thick and chunky, like it's stressed. It's supposed to be more translucent and wispy. My jars that have wet seeds, or condensation, or a metabolite pinhead, are still soft and wispy. I can break the jars up with just a shake, barely a hand bumb.

If you just want some fruit to clone and print then I'd just top fruit those jars in a bag like the Fahtlock way

I think one reason that jar looks strange is I have probably shaken that jar more times than most people shake jars all year.
It breaks up easy with some taps, but it has been shaken daily for a while. It is trying to recover from an impatient amateur messing with it too much.
Not saying there isn't a contam, but some of its stress is probably me related.
I suppose only time will tell
