Living off of smoothies instead of cooking food

So I have recently been making smoothies with fruit and vegetables and sometimes add protein powder to each one because I dont have enough time in the day to cook food and I also hate the ammount of time it takes to cook a giant meal and I completly demolish it within 5 minutes leaving myself without leftovers.
I have heard people say Smoothies are bad because you dont get all your nutrients from food which to mean makes absolutely no sense.
I try to make the biggest and most badass smoothies because Im not some dude trying to lose weight and watch my calories. I am just busy as fuck and just dont have time and dont want to worry about what to cook daily. I have used a giant variety to maximize the intake for each smoothie as well as changed it up a bit.
Does anyone think this is a bad idea to only be making smoothies for meals?
I do eat some deli meat sandwiches here and there as well :p

They will have a lot of good stuff, best to have variety in your diet whatever the case may be.
So, while they make a good substitute for a meal, you should also eat normal meals when you can.

You in college or something?
Cook some food. Eating is more than just getting the necessary nutrients. It is a foundation of culture. Shared meals are a gathering that binds families, friends and communities. I'm sure you can get away with one meal and a snack for smoothies each day, but you will probably get tired of drinking your meals very quickly. Because liquified foods are quicker to digest you might find yourself constantly hungry and end up putting on weight. Body builders drink many of their meals because you have to keep getting the calories in.
You can prep your meals once or twice a week and freeze them as an alternative to cooking everyday. Eggs are easy, ramen, pastas.

Yea I still make simple meals but typically I like to make smoothies its just easier to get the foods down that I dont want to eat such as spinach or certain vegetables that I dont enjoy but eat anyway because of the benefits.
I also live alone so the gathering is me and my dog eating at the same time.

Chewing means it takes longer to finish your meal which gives you time to actually detect a satiety signal, so you feel fuller and eat less. I'd try to just eat something and chew it thoroughly between smoos

You need variety in your diet to make sure you are getting all your micro nutrients. Also, you need more protein than just sometimes adding protein powder.

Almost sounds like the beginning of an eating disorder. Your body needs food on a continuous basis. Food is a pleasurable thing.

Not sure if it's bad, but probably not optimal.
I have 2 16oz green smoothies for lunch 5 days/week.

I've eaten only raw fruit/veggie/seed smoothies for weeks with great results, just change up the mix.
after I was eating solid foods again my mouth got so tired from chewing because my jaw muscles had been on vacation in smoothie land.
sweet not having to clean a buncha shit for cooking. I'm a lazy fuck but I like to be healthy. kudos op.

I had a bodybuilder/ex-football player/football coach roommate in college that ate one or two solid meals a week and got the rest of his nutrition from various smoothies. I have also messed around with soylent. It can be done.
Though, expect some physiological confusion while your body adapts. When I first started on soylent (DIY) it gave me horrible, horrible gas for the first few weeks. I could (and regularly did) clear a room and have people coughing from it as they ran outside. It also tasted really weird. After a while, the gas went away, and the taste got better and better.
When I went back to regular-people food, it was mostly for social reasons. People would be like "wanna grab lunch?" and I'd hold up a water bottle with an off-white liquid, and they'd just kinda treat me like the homeless guy that whips his dick out on the bus. When I said "sure" but proceeded to not order anything, they similarly tended to get weirded out and stop inviting me. Regular food tasted pretty bad at first, and the physiological confusion came back, this time in the form of me suddenly needing a whole lot more than a daily serving of fiber.
Honestly, I'm probably gonna go back to soylent at some point. I hate spending time cooking, when I could be doing literally anything else. I've started cooking 20L batches of chili in my presto, and then canning it for easy reheating and putting on rice just to cut down on my daily cooking. Weighing out a third-kilo of powder that you make a month in advance and adding some oil and a gallon of water is much easier, and you can just sip it throughout the day. It's also way cheaper.

I'm sure its fine as long as you are sure that you're getting all your basic nutrients. Look into superfoods like kale and chia seeds to add to your smoothies. I would just work hard to make sure you get your grains and protein.
you should post some of your recipes. Im lazy as hell about cooking and would dig trying out some new smoothie concoctions!

here is one of the top o the noggin
two frozen bananas (peel & freeze bananas in bulk when ripe) an avocado about two cups of frozen blueberries hemp seed, a lot a couple unpeeled long carrots an apple ginger (size about half your thumb) add spinach until drink is green (as much as is palatable- goal here is to have lots of greens) mix using plain water or if you wanna get real fucking gourmet use coconut milk or fill in the blank nut milks.
oh you added a fruit/vegetable supplement powder to make the biodiversity exponentially expanded?? wow such a good idea you're a smart one. your gut will thank you.
and get this. no fucking kidding, when I was eating like this (after a few weeks) my farts wouldn't stink ladies?? ;)

I agree with this.
Anyone I know that lives off of protein shakes, smoothies, etc, pretty much has an eating disorder, or did at one point in their life.

Sweet lawd thats a new one for the books
Here is my morning "Wake the fuck up" smoothie
2 cups almond milk Almonds - Shitload of them Blueberries - Shitload of them Strawberries - (eat a few) Shitload of them Peanut Butter - at least 2 cups Bananas - 2 frozen or not Chia seeds - 2 table spoons Spinach - 2-3 cups worth (a giant handful) Caffeine pill crushed up - 200mg Protein powder
I want to try to experiment with some different fruits and veggies but this is what i got so far. Am totally down for new ones as long as they taste amazing and always contain at least spinach and or kale due to the super awesome nutritional benefits.

Without actually looking up protein contents, seems a bit low. Remember, you need fats (brain) and proteins (muscles) to live. Carbs are optional calorie filler. Though, if you get most of your calories from fats, you'll go ketogenic, which will make your breath smell like acetone, and if you get most of your calories from protein, you'll need to drink lots more water to get rid of all the nitrogen compounds from the amino acids. Carbs are pretty neutral in this sense, they'll keep you running.

I don't count calories, who the fuck has time for that. I eat a colorful pallet with fruits vegetables nuts seeds grains. It's not rocket science.
Wtf are you talking about eating disorder. It's foods it is just blended wtf lol idk where you're getting your info from but it's just a healthy way to get a lot of food. That recipie had like 8 fruits and vegetables. Does your non-blended breakfast have 8 different kinds of fruit vegetable or seed? Probably not or not in the quantity of the smoothie.
Yes food is pleasurable but maybe entertain we are spirits & being attached to food brings us down.
"But but but solid food & my emotional attachment to eating solids " -- sounds more disorderly to me
Btw when I did green drinks I was working on a farm six days a week 7am-1pm and was in killer shape (not meeting with a personal trainer & diet planner another instance doing green drinks I worked construction. Most of the guys go get processed shit for lunch & I'd watch them like slugs. It's not a bad choice.
