Growing San Pedro
    #2308741 - 02/06/04 01:24 PM (20 years, 14 days ago)

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I have used the search function and didn't really find anything..

Basically, I've got hold of a San Pedro cactus that's about 7 cm tall off of Ebay. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to grow it properly? I'm not just trying to grow it ASAP so that I can eat it, I actually want to grow it properly

Will it survive on my windowsill (remember I'm in the gloomy UK)? How often should I water it?

Thanks for your help guys

don't kill it with care.  everyone is guilty of that once or twice  T.p. is a desert hardy plant that is used for garden decor all over the world.  It is also the fastest growing cacti in the world. Vs it's cousin peyote which is just the opsite growing slowly over the years.

they can staned super highs , and super low temps.... and lighting isn't somthing to completely freak about and put crazy shit into grow lamps. your window sill is fine.

watch your cactus.  If it's a fat little bastard and the ribs arn't paper thin, he's getting enough water, and just put in a drink every  so often.  they don't need much... if you notice the ribs starting to decrese in size... then add a little more water to your feeding.

as long as temps don't drop down too low... your golden.

enjoy your cacti friend.

and don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions or problems.

Hope that helped

you should watch better not to overfeed/water them!
after that, give them some 15-15-15 or 25-25-25 once in a while.
