Caps Splitting

Upon checking my casings today I found a pretty interesting problem. Many of my mushroom's caps have split. They've either prematurely pulled their veil away, or the cap has split into two different sections. I also have a pretty high number of aborts (yesterday they were perfect inch tall mushrooms, today almost a quarter of them have aborted). I'm pretty sure my humidity and air exchange are fine (I have a PMP with perlite, I also fan/mist once a day) so I can't think of any explanation for this happening. Here's a picture:

The normal cause for that is the humidity you may think it fine but you may want to try and up it some because cracking caps indicate that its to dry for them . do you have a humidity gauge and if so did you calibrate it . if you don't know how to do that this is how its done , put the gauge in a zip lock bag or any other air tiet container put some salt in a bottle cap and put in a drop of water or two put it in you container and let it sit for a couple hours then you should get an acurit reading and this way you can tell if your gauge is off a little or right on the dot . Hope this helps you (growmore)

The humidity definitely isn't too low (in the pic I'll be posting you can see humidity collecting on the sides of the cake pan). But I don't have a humidity gauge to check the exact RH.
Any other ideas?

I just posted a picture.
Do you still think it's humidity, or could there be another reason?
Thanks for the help.

Right now I have two six cake casings in my terrarium and both of them have about %35 of their mushroom's caps split (not to mention about %15 aborts).
Could this be some type of mass mutation, or did I do something wrong?
This has never happened to me before by the way.

This sucks.
I checked the casings today and found that one of the casings had stalled (no growth whatsoever during the night, other than the fact half seemed to abort and the other half have their caps starting to pull away when they're less than an inch tall) but the other had grown; but half the caps on the casing that grew had begun to peel away as well.
So, in reaction, I did a few things. First off, I dug up my air wands to see if they were working. They were, so I mixed up the perlite very well in case it had compacted and was restricting air flow. Secondly, I misted both casings heavily (to answer your question preschooler, yes the casings are pulling away from the sides a bit). I then fanned the whole thing.
I'm planning on fanning twice a day now (once in the morning and once at night) and also misting heavily each time. Do you think this will be enough to stop the rest from splitting? Because as it stands right now my yields are going to be significantly reduced by this, to say the least.
Here's a picture taken this morning:
