ID request on possible weilii, blue foot, or ovoids? 2

I have some pictures of a lucky lucky patch I've come across in Palm beach county. They are some beautiful whitish/cream colored caps that bruise immense blue all over. Already ate some with my girlfriend and two of my friends ate a small amount last night and had a really awesome trip. Gonna go back to the patch, take more pics and a couple spore prints for my buddy. The prints are purple. I just don't know how to post pics for identification.

Looks like ovoids to me. Where are you located?

I'm in florida. I've been picking cubensis out of pastures for years. As well as "blue meanies" our of pastures as well. But these are new to me. Found them in between two houses growing out of red mulch and dirt

If it is ovoids, it is the first report in FL. My guess would be weilii or caerulescens, but I have never seen those in person, so just a guess because of where you are. Excellent find, you should save some prints, and maybe some dried specimens in case it needs to be microscopically identified by an expert.

Ive got lots of dried specimens so I wouldn't mind sending some out. I'll have to go back today and get some fresh caps to take some prints though. By god I spent a few hours each day trying to narrow down the possibilities for the past 5 days. My persistence brought me to those three possible species. They were found about an hour north of Miami.

Amazing, ovoids are so widespread. I wonder if they came in with bagged mulch, or are already growing there? What are the temperatures like down there now?

They were growing out of decayed red mulch in a neighborhood called Addison reserve in between two houses. Perfect amount of shade and moisture for any mushroom to grow. I was doing landscaping on the house next door and while I was planting some plants I noticed them. Ive piled twice in that spot. They grew back bountiful. The weather is very hot and very humid. A lot of rain before they popped up.

I didn't take down the specifications on temperature or humidity that day because I didn't think it would be anything special aside from a lowly mushroom identification. If I had to guess it was somewhere between 78-80 degrees F. And ??? On the humidity...very humid though. You step outside and start getting sticky and sweaty. Good to know I could get y'all excited about my find though. When I found them they were all bruising a beautiful blue even before I touched them. They have a pretty awesome potency for the small amount I tested. The city they were in was Delray Beach. Neighborhood was: Addison Reserve

I guess so but they could have just as easily been stowaways on the woodchips

Very cool, I will have to fave this thread, I am very curious about this find.
I saw a post on MO about ovoids being found in GA last year I think, and am curious about this species of Psilocybes ability to adapt to new surroundings.
Bravo.

Stowaways? Like in deliberately placed there? Or imported by "accident"? Sorry if I'm slow asking this.
I'm in any case hopeful of a follow up on the spot these were found. There must be more coming up.

I would bet money that those were deliberately placed there,or that that mulch came form an area where they naturally occur.
I don't suspect anyone will find anymore "wild Ovoids" in Florida,it's just not the right habitat for them, nor is there a winter that far down south, I think they need a cold period if I'm not mistaken.

So I went back 2 seperate times since I last posted. I picked about 20 more caps on Sat night, just went again today while at work and found another 20 smaller ones, but they're are literally hundreds of smaller caps growing everywhere in that area, I can't wait to go back in a couple days and take some pictures for y'all. I've got just a couple pics now I'll try to post them
