You need brk for a tree id, I'd say you are right ^^ and it is not datura but I don't know what it is. That would be exciting (bad for our forests ) if you found it out there though. Good work keeping your eyes open out there though, you never know what you will find sometimes.

Cheers for kind words all. SA is really a very photogenic place to hunt:awesomenod: and mostly infested with subs. Nothing like a good winter hike through an aged pine forest.

Pinkban, It's always cool to meet likeminded people out on a hunt especially the kooky kind. A 1500k drive to hunt subs sounds like a wicked road trip. I wonder if Australias one Territory without subs wants to get in on the action.

Fractaliopsybe, A weekend drive from Sydney wouldn't surprise me. I drove from Adelaide to Sydney with a car trailer to pick up wreck. Was a good road trip:thumbup:

Does the NT have no magic at all? Maybe not subs but something else in the 'poo' spots during wet season? I don't come across too many trippers in my spots (unfortunately or luckily ) which seems pretty weird. Maybe as most of you guys hunt down south.

2 days to drive to Sydney from here and 1 day to get to Melbourne, we should all do more interstate trips.

Your pics are awesome Bob.

Yeah they have cubes in the NT but I'd say they'd only grow on the exterior with the red center being so arid. I wouldn't be surprised if P.Alutacea grew there but perhaps they're not targeted. They seem hardy enough growing in scrubby exposed environments. Not to mention no shortage of roos.

I have my own private spots I dare say nobody ever frequents but they're not in pine forests. I don't believe there are any pine forests that don't see activity from hunters but some areas are certainly hot spots. Don't know about the South vs North.

Arum Lily is a weed for sure, but otto couldn't be more right. Humans are the real weeds in our bushland, this is why we need to care for what's left

Even sub's are believed to be an introduced species, transported in the tube stock of plantation pines from NZ.
We must eat them all to control the population.

Ok cheers how did you get that wiki page done so quick.:llamastare: I was under the impression that they were native but that's simply through word of mouth. I have read some literature in the past that eludes to aboriginal usage pre invasion.

I did some searching and I can't find where I read it. I was probably trippin sack

Just pretend this never happened :magicfingers: never happened.... never happened.....

Ok good times.
Already forgotten.....an interesting subject nonetheless. I've never looked at aboriginal art the same way after Dmt though.
