Entirely recasing after 1st flush with bulk sub?

Hello.
My friend was wondering if after a full flush is complete wether she could completely recase her entire casing. See, she said she birthed without casing at all for the first flush, and was wondering wether she could case with coir inbetween flushes. If so, would she have to re-incubate the substrate to allow it to colonize casing material?
Or is this retarded?
Thanks
Ki

good plan not too thick though. reincubate for 5 days or so, or until it starts to show through. don't forget to pH balance and sterilise the casing, and to let it cool before applying.

Thanks for all of the words of advice! My friend waited until the top layer of poo (90% poo 10% straw) sub was colonized to fruit, and she had a very even pinset, and the casing seems to stay well hydrated. Given this, Alou, Shirley, would you say not to mess with a casing layer given the invite for more contams?
Thanks much!!

If you want better first flushes, you case your spawned dung. It sounds to me like you had on ok first flush anyway so thats great.
I would still case if it was dry, because its very easy to rehydrate with a casing layer. Its a bit strange spraying water directly onto thick mycelium. Since it appears to be ok I would probably just leave it for another flush atleast.
SpasticSofa: I would say that combining 4 casings together is a bad idea. Even if they are small it is a terrible risk to take for little gain.
Good luck either way.

Thanks Alou for the reply! My friend will just leave as be for now, clone some tissue and see how it works out!
Thanks!
