That's an iPhone 4 camera for ya :/
And really?!?! )) what about that spot on the side of the tub at the top of the pic? Obviously it needs more time but do you think a week or so?

It doesn't have the bubble pattern we see with trich. Keep an eye on it but I think it's okay.
I would probably just fruit that sucker now myself.

I dug into the sub a bit and it's hardly colonized in the middle (like down in there)

The myc will contract as soon as you damage it making the sub appear uncolonized. Think about what grain looks like when you shake it.
At any rate putting it into fruiting will only make it colonize faster. If you are worried about contams this will give the mycelium the edge.

Oh I didn't think about that! I'm just worries about it being hardly colonized internally and screwing my yeilds... Best way to fruit is start fanning two or three times s day correct ?

Fanning is not going to provide fresh air unless you fan 3 times a hour, round the clock. No instead take the tape off the holes, stuff with poly and forget about fanning. We don't fan monos. At least I don't. Fanning anything always felt stupid to me. Change the air is one thing. But I don't need to stand over a tub waving the lid for a solid minute to do that.

I always read that the poly isn't enough. I am planning on putting a fan facing directly away from the tub.and about this contracting thing

I must have posted myself a 100 times that I never use a fan and it just dries my tubs out. Some people use one with success but it's a pain for many others. Especially if you live in a dry climate. Personally I think a fan is best for true set and forget. But unless you grow in a closet or have your set and forget method dialed in with a fan, I personally wouldn't bother.
The tubs in my signature never needed a fan.

The mycillium on top has about doubled in a day so I put into fruiting conditions about an hour ago. It's been 8 days since putting in the tub. It's an all red run but with the lid on there's still glowing light inside. I'm going to do 12/12 hour days/nights. And I put a thin cover layer of casing on top. It was still very moist with condensation on the sides and lid so I didn't mist. I'll keep you guys posted on when pins form. Oh and I throughly fanned before casing to get rid of the built up co2.

Ditto I live in a relatively humid climate, average of 60% RH and even when using a fan I have experienced faster drying of monos. The only time I ever use a fan is during the first days of summer to keep temperatures stable other than that never saw the need.

So I have a TON of side pins in my tub and am considering cutting the tub open (so I don't damage them) and putting the "cake" in a larger tub with a layer of wet vermiculite on the bottom to maintain humidity. Thoughts????
