The clone that was from this cluster is going well! Fuzzing up with myc, and I don't see any bacterial blobs or blotches forming just yet. See how it goes tho. But check out that stipe, the thing is so dark!

3rd transfer plates PE and APE. Looking good(: far less sectors on each plate it looks like, and some are becoming a lil rizo.

YesS that's what I hear(: I think next batch will have less nutes. But I'm trying to just grow it all the way out till it stops sectoring. I guess that's the goal..? Lol first time playing with agar. I dig it

you don't really need to do that unless you are looking to experiment. as long as you have just cubes on your plate you can use it! if you want to experiment then it's important to get a monoculture so you know you are tesing with the EXACT same genetics, otherwise you don't know if it's what you did that changed something or if it's just different genetics reacting differently

Haha okay, I'm taking notes but yeah I'm kind of experimenting. I have all the sectors number, made predictions, watching it play out. So far the sectors I thought would do well are ahead in the race lol and also I already used a couple plates 2nd transfer ones, made LC LI, and knocked a bunch of grain. Keeps me busy (:

it has fertilizers which is why people use jiffy mix organic seed starter, no fertilizers in it.

Wait I got a question about this now, so a mono culture would be a plate with no sectoring, all the same right? But is that a crap shoot? Like I could pick the one phenotype in it all that's garbage or something? My understanding was it will pretty much always do better than an ms grow. That correct from what you know?
