Ranco 111000 will not turn steamer on

Anyone have experience with this? I've used this device with a steamer for a while now. It has worked every time except once. Usually when it turns the steamer on, it will click and the heating element immediately starts up, making an audible noise. I've had the setup going today for two hours and nothing is happening.
I have another steamer, and tried all combination of cords and switched the steamers. Still nothing. I have another ranco controller but it is not wired. I did not do the last one so I have no parts handy to set it up.
I was really hoping to pasteurize today. Bags need to be made up for some clients and its very time sensitive. Any suggestions on my predicament would be great. I'm too busy to build another one atm.

did you check your breaker? Try plugging a lamp into the same socket. If you have a multimeter you can trace it down, check power at the socket, crack open the unit, check power before the relay and after. If the relay or controls are broken you might be able to bypass the relay and directly wire the element or bridge the relay. If there is a low water level failsafe you might be bypassing that by jumping the relay so be warned.

It didn't work in multiple sockets. I have no multimeter. I tried both with multiple water levels and orientations. The steamers do not work if plugged directly into outlets either.

Well now one of the steamers works solo. When plugged into the controller, it makes the click I usually hear, but does not turn the steamer on.
Edit: i was up late last night babysitting the temps and got one batch done. I set it up again this morning and it's working fine. Weird technology.
