Everyday evidence of a 6th sense
    #2304756 - 02/05/04 02:06 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Evidence of '6th sense'

I'm sure everybody has experienced this many times but have written it off as co-incidence. There is a very real and active 6th sense that tells us when we are being watched. It is a survival instinct that has helped us evade ambushing predators. The reverse also works. With practice I believe you can bring this feeling onto somebody else and make them look at you.

Standard answer would be that this phenomena is simply us seeing ourselves being watched out of the corner of our eye. This is too standard for me. I have been studying this phenomena in action at work everyday and found it often occurs when someone is watching me, completely out of my vision (I turned my neck around to see them). Interestingly when I have caused this to happen to other people they always look directly into my eyes. Its automatic they know where you are but they haven't seen you, until they look right at you. Its almost as if your souls connect, I get a strong vibe when this happens too.

You cannot conciously access this sense. I have found willing someone to look at me simply doesn't work its just about focusing on them, become truly interested in them and of course if you are being watched (& have this sense) then it will tell you.

My experience so far is that a couple of people responding to this will probably understand & agree with me, where as most people will opt for the standard answer. If you are going to reply and you are giving a standard answer then please back it up with examples and evidence. The majority view usually sticks in with conformaty this is because people would rather believe they are correct in their group of ignorance, it is the easy option. Break the mold and stand out from the crowd.

Knowing someone is behind you may be the auditory equivalent.

I have known somebody was behind me even though they were looking out of a window and inside of a building.

Its a good theory although I think they are scratching the surface of what this sense is.

I agree.

sometimes when I walk into a house, I just "know" that the TV is on, even though it's in another room, it's not showing anything, and there's no sound coming from it.

even without consciously hearing something, we can "hear" sounds that are below the perceptual threshold (an inaudible buzzing or something), giving us a "sense" of something out of whack.
it probably evolved as a survival instinct, like the article says.

It is the person's magnetic energy field that we can sense the presence of. Up to 55 feet away, as that is how far an activated merkaba extends from the body.

Well, tv's do give off very high frequency waves that the average person usually doesn't hear, but many can. I have a freind who can't goto sleep unless all the tv's in his house are shut, heh.

I know. some people with sensitive hearing can consciously hear it, but even those who can't consciously hear it often know that it's THERE.

perceptual threshold...
read the article.

Doesn't matter how much "stuff" is written. The "Being Watched" phenomenon has failed clinical (i.e. controlled for sound and vibration and checked by unbiased third-party behavioralists) testing time and again.

I can hear a TV that is on from the other room, with it on mute. It's a very high pitched noise and can be quite annoying.

if you believed in the cosmic Oneness, you might accept this as an explanation.
