Pretty!

um well
How do you not know of what I speak? You keep alleging "There's no original/prototypical deck" Yet me very own eyes furnish substantial evidence to the contrary. That fucking yin/yang fractal super mystical looking crap is not authentic. It's plastic
You know I mean the fuckin deck with the magician and shit.

Most decks have the Magician in it.
Honestly - you dont practice tarot and dont know much about it, so it might be better for you to ask questions and learn rather then give advice about it.
I have been studying tarot and doing regular readings for 10 years and I am still learning more about it. I have about 10 decks and they are all awesome.
Osho deck is kinda based on tarot, but is so heavily modified it wouldnt be helpful or practical for studying tarot.... But it is nice for its own type of readings. I think of it more as an oracle deck then a tarot deck though because it is so heavily modified.
Good classic style decks that are popular include the Marseilles deck, Rider-Waite deck or the Thoth deck. There are many more then these few, but these are the most popular ones. There are tons of decks in print based on other decks from the 17th century, but none of them are the "original" deck. The oldest tarot decks are incomplete and missing parts, and no one knows the true origins of the cards or what the first deck was or where/when it was made.

I dont do fortune telling. I do divination and I also use the cards for personal study as the tarot is also used as a meditation tool for learning about yourself.

I ordered the New Golden Dawn deck that comes in a set with The New Golden Dawn Ritual Tarot book by Chic and Sandra Cicero. So far it's been a worthwhile investment, along with Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig.
