inculation

Hey guys and gals, I have 4 rye qt jars that have showed no growth after a week. Neither mycelium nor bacteria ( inculated with syringes) question is, if I don't see any growth within the next two weeks do you think I could get away with throwing in a colonized agar wedge? Or is that just asking for contamination at this point. Thanks

Your spores might be fine in your syringe and in that case your grains might be overcooked or something. If that's the case an agar wedge will do nothing. You're gonna want to start over. Pictures help.
You'll probably be seeing growth within a few days.

:whathesaid:

4 days isnt long at all, be patient. Spores can take up to 2 weeks to show signs of germination.

If for whatever reason you don't see growth resterilize the jar before tossing agar in...
